I've not been driving that much, then I'll be goning for a month to Italy, and I had to pay the new policy at the end of october. I decided to put my GC on storage plan, only $70 for 6 months, drive my GF wagon whenever I need it and resume the policy in February. I will just be driving around the block every couple of weeks, just to get rid of the moisture. Soon I will put on my winter set and mud flaps, just in case I wanna have some fun  Look how sad she looks :emo: :laugh::laugh::laugh:
I can read your license plate in that 3rd pic, but then again I could read it if I was behind you at a stop light too.
Never understood why that's a concern. Really, what could someone do with your license plate #??? I can't think of anything realistic.
^pay $10 to do a lic check, and steal it. it's easyer to find a subaru that you would want on a subaru forum, then say, driving around.
I guess I didn't think you could run someone else's license plate # and be given their registered address.
I actually never understood that either. So sometimes I mask the LP other times I don't, like my avatar. I guess I just became paranoid after I saw other people doing it.
You are better off just letting the car sit, then to fire it up once a week. Unless you actually drive it long enough to get it hot and burn off the water in the exhaust. Park it, pull the battery, dump in some stabil, and call it a day. Russ
thanks for the advice. I already put a coat of Collinite 476s. In fact I plan to get some sta-bil. But how many miles would I have to drive to get it hot enough? like 10-15?
atleast until the water temp gets up enough to open the thermostat. Just park it and call it a day. Unless you need to drive it, I would just park it. My routine for winter storage, is have about a half tank of my standard non-oxy and dump in stabil. Rip around the block a couple of times to make sure the stabil is mixed in. Put it up on my rolling ramps, pull the battery, roll it into the corner of the garage, wait till spring to roll it out. It will be harder on everything to do short heat cycles "just because". If you don't NEED it, park it. Russ
With motorcyle's and the 1 car I have stored I would only add to fill up the tank alomst all the way to prevent moisture build up in the tank itself
