    Hey all:

Well I am going to built a 2.0L WRX motor over the early winter. This would be a great opportunity for someone to have me built a heavy duty bottom end with forged parts and put it in there WRX for higher boost. Or since 90% of the parts are there this would also be a good oportunity for someone thinking of a WRX swap to get something local.

For a swap some additional parts need to be sourced.
    Engine, bulkhead harness
    ECM
    Turbo
    I/C
    oil cooler

I think I need more info of what you are asking.

Do you want me to install and wire the car for it?
do you want the motor built? or stock?

I did edit the post for clarity.

    Would you consider monthly payments?

Sorry I dont think payments will be an option. I have not done the math yet but just on the minimum I think it will be north of 2k for parts and the work that needs to be done.

I may be interested, BTW, do you know anything about the JDM STI short blocks? My future project was too fully rebuilt one of these suckers with a dog box tranny...

    hey matt,
i just wanted a rough estimate on how much it would cost for you to put in the tranny and motor along with the wire harness? i would come up with the motor somehow? and how hard is it to put a new sti v8 motor in a gc6?

I dont think either of you understand the amount of cash needed to do a swap, espescially a JDM swap.

    V8 motor = 4500.00
JDM 5spd = 3500.00 + depending on gearing and diffs
JDM 6spd = 5000.00 + rear diff, axles, brakes, spindles

That does not even cover any labor or aditional parts. The WRX swap is by far the cheapest and easiest.
