Here's what happens when you run UTEC and you don't know what your doing. It came in a while ago with an overboost code stored, and the guy had a UTEC and a Turbo XS MBC. It's not the UTEC's fault, and it's not the cars fault....It's the owners fault. Here's the pics of damage..... OOOpppppsssss!

I warned him about it when it came in with the overboost code, he just shrugged it off and out the door he went. He no longer ownes the car, as he traded it in to a dealership. They brought the car in because it wouldn't start... I wonder why? ____________________ Brian WRB WRX www.t3hw00t.com
The guy sounds like an idiot and the dealership sounds even dumber if they didn't check it out before taking it in on trade.
Warranty? Wow...just...wow. SOA must be feeling generous right now, that had 5k plus just written all over it.
I know how you feel and how the Tech that is going to work on it feel. We warranty almost every transmission that is over 100k on 99+ Honda V6 trans. The cust just say the MAGIC word: "Could HONDA Help Me Out" or "Could this be covered under warranty". We warrantied an S2k Engine due to Owner running it low on oil and scoring the cylinder walls. Hmmmm wat else, A cust. traded in a honda mini van with a knocking noise under wholesale. Our used car dept. end up getting a new shortblock Under warranty. Its just obserd on what should and shouldn't be warrantied at any dealership. Oh one more thing if anyone has a Honda with a seatbelt issue, Its warranty for LIFE of the vehicle!!!No matter what happened to it. Like Dog chewed it, pop freezing up on it, small accidental cuts. IONio just my .02
If memory serves me, wasn't it about a decade ago when there was a seatbelt recall against a Japanese manufacturer over the plastics disintegrating? I remember the CEO of the company saying it was because Americans were messy pigs (or something to that effect) and that it was pop and the grease from fast food that had damaged the plastics. This was shortly followed up by a Japanese politician being quoted as saying that Americans were dumb and lazy. :ugh: That prompted the production of t-shirts with mushroom clouds and the caption "Built in America by dumb, lazy Americans. Tested in Japan."
