Any recommendations on a shop in the MSP area to do a trunk swap on my '15 STi

I found a guy in WI that wants to do a swap, just need to find a reputable shop in MSP where we can meet and have them do the work.

    Any advice appreciated. Thanks!

Not very hard to swap trunk lids, with a few people, and some basic tools. The torsion bars kinda suck though.

Are you looking to swap for a spoiler-less trunk? You will have swap the torsion bars as @Sjogun said. If you have two people, its very easy to swap the lids.

I would secure the trunk partially open (with ratchet straps or similar). Remove the lid and let the trunk arms up slowly. Then swap the torsion bars (many instructions online for previous generations, should be the same/similar).

I say leave the torsion bars and use your trunk lid as a catapult.

    It's rather entertaining to watch...

I want to swap the torsion bars as well and I live in Fargo so not really interested in doing it myself.

Just looking for a good body shop in town that I can trust. Preferably one that works with subaru often.

I always assumed that about Fargo people, now it's confirmed.

Dear god, it's like 4 bolts, 6 if the torsion bars are bolted on the way I think they are. You don't need an experienced body guy, or someone experienced with Subarus to do this. This is unskilled monkey work.

Stop by my house and I will do it for half the cost an autobody shop will charge you.

Curry - I posted on your profile page with my email

Readymix - Yeah, I'm sure I had this coming. I'm driving from Fargo, the other owner is driving from WI. No interest in meeting in a random parking lot in winter to do the swap. Knowing me I'll lose screw or struggle with the torsion bars, don't want to end up at the dealer parts counter...

Rather pay someone 1/2 hr labor and sit in a warm building, what can I say!
