Soo...yesterday some asshat decided to cross 169 in the middle of traffic. My boyfriend was driving and literally almost hit him but slammed on the brakes and barely stopped in time. The minivan behind us did not...my brand new car is ****ed. Help...

How bad is it? There's a few good shops around town but a few are scheduled a ways out!

When my last Impreza was stolen and recovered, but all screwed up, I went through Morrie's Bodyworks in Orono. They did a good job, and I couldn't tell that the car had been damaged in any way. Good luck!

When he stopped my car went sideways a little and the van hit the rear end towards the drivers side so that's smashed up, my panel is off on the side over the wheel, my trunk won't latch, there's cracks underneath, and when I turn the steering wheel to drive it sounds like a strange creaking like maybe the suspension is off or worse? It drives but that even feels a little off too...I literally have never been in an accident and I wasn't driving and she's ****ed :(

Stuff happens, that's what insurance is for.... Demand OEM parts only it's your right and also make sure you get an itemized list of everything that was replaced and fixed. Nice to keep when selling the car later down the road. If it isn't fixed right, don't take the car off the lot of the repair shop. Once you take possession of it, it's a hassle to get something else repaired from the accident after. ALSO! Make sure you you walk around the car with a fine tooth comb... meaning if you're headlights aren't cracked... note that. The repair shop that did my Lexus busted my rear tail-light and said it was like that before.... Take pictures of everything. 100+ haha.

When my wrx was broken into last year... After the insurance company came and gave an estimate I took it to fridley collision center. They did a fantastic job.

Right off east river road from 694.

I have had nothing but good experiences with LaMettrys. Both the Eden Prairie and New Brighton location. Tell them Brett sent you and they will take care of you. Ask for Brandon at EP or Dave at NB.

I'm guessing it's further away then you are looking, but I have had nothing but good luck with Monticello Auto Body.

Avoid Morrie's bodywork in BP. I had them repair rear fender and less than a year it started to rust. I took it back to get it fixed and it rusted less than 2months.

Lupient Chevrolet in Bloomington off 35w and 494. They've done multiple cars of mine, Khue and Mark won't let it leave if it doesn't look brand new.

Okay so I ended up going to Morries in long lake bc I got it in before some of your guys suggestions...and the estimate doesn't include anything but a new rear bumper and labor. I know there is something else wrong because when I turn the wheel it makes the worst noise. That's not just from the bumper...what do I do?! Nobody seems to be listening to me...

Take it elsewhere! Try Derps suggestion and go to a LaMettrys location. I would get second and or third opinions/estimates.

Derp, I was told I need to have a Subaru tech bc I have a lifetime warranty that's void if they aren't a "Subaru approved technician". Do you know if the guys at your place are??

    Hey Ashley,

You should bring it in to our service department first! They should be able to work on any mechanical problems and then forward the car on to our body shop. We have a bunch of techs and employees that are members of this forum :)

    Hey Ashley,

I'm honestly not sure if they're Subaru approved, but they are for Merc and Audi (including the aluminum A8s), so I trusted their shop. However, I see your issue. Let me give them a shout and I will let you know.

Otherwise, Morrie's would be the other place I would consider, based on my experience at the dealership and the fact that they take such good care of MN Subaru members.

The only reason I'm so vocal about LaMettrys is because they have done a stellar job of fixing my Legacy when I had body damage and when I had some rust removed by replacing some body panels. I'll give them a shout.
