Ok so I need some computer related help - I recorded some video using my GoPro motorsports cam at the ice races. It records in avi format. when I run it on windows media player I have video but no audio. if I run it on quicktime I get both video and audio. This is on a computer running vista. what can I do to get windows media player to output audio? am I missing a codec or something?

    Need codec.
    Maybe AC3?
Not sure but need audio codec for the file.

    Use Gspot to find it.

.AVI format is usually DIVX. Download the divx codec pack, or try playing the video with VLC player.

You can download a codec pack like the k-lite
if that doesn't fix, download Gspot, open the video with Gspot, it'll tell you what audio format the video is using, find the codec for that, install, should work.
