heres the problem. while i was waiting for my cousin at the mall entrance my break light ( E break wasn't even on.) and battery light (about 3yrs old) just went on. Then when i started to drive off to park my wheel felt really hard to turn. any clues what is going on???

Mods: TBE, AP Cobb Stage 2 reflash, and forge BPV

    thanks

your brake light will come on when you are low on fluid as well as when your ebrake is on.

did one of your accessory belts break?

oddly enough i saw a thread on this same topic earlier today. i will try and find it.

in the mean time take a look here:

    http://www.rs25.com/forums/showthread.php?t=62959&highlight=brake+light+alternator

well i cant find it (annoys me) anyway. from what i have read it sounds like it is a battery charging issue. check all the electrical connections on the battery and alternator and the stuff by the fuse box. might want to have the alternator tested or the battery.

could also be power steering related:

found out what was wrong...its the belt on the pulley was ripped off...so what im going to do is just replace all the belts since they all looked kind of warned out. what recommendations on belts should i get?

I like the Dayco Poly Cog. Advance has them, but the NAPA belts (gold line) are good too.

Also can't go wrong with OEM Subaru ones!
