guys...i was at a store and the car was idling and i saw my dash light(every light, the very tiny headlight at the coner) was kinda flashing ....but i didnt know what happened...so i turned off and try to start it ...but it wont start..and the engine crank( click sounds) tho ...so i had my friend jump it for me...it started. i went back where i work and i thought the battery died ...so i diconnected it and took it to checker and have them do the battery check and they said the battery was fine and they charged the battery for me ...they said should be the alternater. so i went back and hook up the battery, but these time it wont start neither and there wasnt any "click" sounds,so i had dave came over and he pushed start the car, the car started right after. according to this case, whats wrong with my caR??? battery died??dead alternater,dead starter and something else??
You made it home? I'm telling ya man, from what i heard it sounded like your soleniod is bad. Have it checked. I think the person that owned the car before you put on hell of a voodoo curse on it. :ugh:
Jeez im tired of these subaru don't it just makes you wanna burn the piece of shiet....lol...shoot same thing happen to me last week chokin the car wont start even if i jump it but it will start when you push start it...so luckily Master Tranny Mechanic Fuji K had a starter laying around his junky garage...the suckers starts right up now...the bad news i spent 160 bucks on a new Altima Battery the good news my car seems to accel with some vtak juice!
yea man ...i made it home but i cant make it to any shop at all ....sad... the soleniod = starter?? but strange that it started when i first jump it but not after i had checker check and charge the battery
yea man ...im sick of it ....since the o2 sensor code came out ....other problem seems start coming out ....but i have to get tham fixed . or because of i havent had u tuned my car..so thats why there are so many problems ...lol jk
good that ur car is running fine now but not mine....who did ur starter?? the thing is i dont know where can i get the starter...anyone have ideas? thanks guys!!
You can get a starter for your Suby from any auto parts store, although it won't be a genuine Suby part. It will be cheaper, both in price and quality. Should still work fine. An alternator charges the battery as you drive it. If your battery was fine, it ain't the alternator. If you are driving and your lights go dim, then its an alternator. While running, your car's alternator should provide enough power to run the electrical system and charge the battery.
ok ..the only thing is my car wont start so i cant bring it in to any shop .... well ...checker said my battery was fine...like what i said earlier...when my car was idling...the light went dimmer and brighter, on and on....so im confused
let me get this straight when turning the key it doesn't make any noise or in other words it wont turn over at all? and does it start when you push start it?? DIY Replacing Starter It took me about 20min to put my starter in i did it from under the car...this is what i did...lift the car up disconnect the neg battery terminal, locate the starter, should be right next to the clutch fork, loosen the nut (12mm) on power source cable, unplug the small wire to the starter, loosen two bolts (14mm) holding starter to the tranny/motor should pull right off and vise versa when putting the new one in voila!
what does it mean of" turn over" ?? so first i turned off the car and try to turn back on ...nothing happened...but can hear the " click click click" sound...so i thought was the dead battery ...so i brought in and have CHECKER charge the battery for me....back to the car...i hooked possitive and neg. battery terminal ....and try to start again ...this time..all the lights on the dash went on ...but when i turn the key...only hear one "click" sound.thats all (not like before click click click click ....)...the car wont start ...hope u know what im talkin about...and yea i can push start it
