Need the flat steel piece that holds the top of the rear brake shoes apart...02wrx. Subarupartsforyou calls it a spanner... Any chance there is a subaru parts store open Sunday anywhere in mn/wi? I think I know the answer I was doing my brakes today, forgot to take the parking brake off when I took one of the rear rotors off...bent the hell out of the spanner, the part that spaces the front and rear shoe apart. Tried bending it back, but ended up cracking it in the process... Really would like to have this part tommorow, leaving for FL on tues... It doesn't seem like a general parts store would stock this item.
Yeah, I rarely use mine, but it would be nice to have it back together before slapping the rotors back on... I thought of the junk yard option, but that car is my only transportation, and trying to talk the gf into taking me...especially in the rain, isn't going to go well.
