I own a 98 rs and would like to transplant a sti or wrx engine into it. I was wondering if anyone would know where the best place to get a n angine or car? Secound was wondering if there is any books to help you through the wiring? I have access to mitchell on demand and work but i was wondering if anyone put together a step by step process to help me out?
contact phatsuby from this forum. He can find you a complete wrx motor and everything needed for the swap for 3k i think. He hasnt been able to get any lately but doesnt hurt to try.
sti transplant are much more expensive, since you need the tranny, driveshaft, rear end, axles, brakes, hubs, and then some. so for a STi swap you are looking at about 10k parts, plus labor. the deal through ben is a good one. you mihgt look at ravensblade impreza. i think he has wiring diagrams for numerous subies but i don tknow how much helpt they will be.
