Turbo on my '06 Legacy went and I finally saved some money to get a new one and the White Bear Lake Subaru dealer quoted me $1117.30 for a new one. Appearantly according to Legacygt forums that is way too expensive. Does anyone know any place to get one cheaper? I put up a wtb post on the Legacygt forums but haven't got any responses yet.

You should be able to find VF40's now since the LGT guys are popping in the VF52

It's kind of hard to find vf40 on NASOIC or LGT forums. Maybe you should try vf52 now :)

What caused your turbo failure? Was there pluged filter screen off oil suply line?

I will talk to my dad. His shop sells lots of turbos, and prices are way lower then dealerships.

Let me know if you find anything out. My bro's 05 LGT is boosting low and making some new noises. Figure it's on the way out.

Just bought one off of legacygt.com for $300. Now hopefully everything works out and I actually get it and it's in the condition the person says it is in. If anyone needs one I recommend posting in the Legacy forums on there and not the want to buy part. I recieved offers for them from my post in the main forum and recieved no responses in my want to buy thread.

Thank you everybody for all the information.

It was from the stupid banjo bolt. I think i'm going to remove it like most people have done. Just have to make sure to get normal oil changes.
