I've got a noisy driveshaft on the daily and has been getting worse lately. Either my U-joint or carrier bearing is failing in my '00 OBS.

I'm looking for a 93-07 auto 4EAT driveshaft (Impreza or Forester) in fairly decent condition for as close to $0 as possible. Anyone have one laying around? Thanks in advance.

Bump...still looking for a 98-01 AT 4eat driveshaft (possibly any 93-07 4eat Impreza shaft). Hoping to get this taken care of before winter.

No I haven't. I think that's same as LKQ. They have a place in Albert Lea. I was going to look there after lunch

Yep. I bought a rear knuckle from them last year and they were able to send it to their Albert Lea facility for me to pickup instead of driving up to Northfield. I'll have to take a look to see if they have anything. Was hoping someone would have one laying around and wanted little to nothing for it. :)

Is there are driveline shop near you? There are 2 up here that can replace the joints for about $30 a piece.

Oh really? I didn't think they were serviceable. I'm not sure I have any place around here that can do it. One tranny shop, but I think they work on them exclusively and really nothing else.

Sorry Derpy. I was in a weird mood that day. Pretty sure that's the same day I posted the "(SFW) show me your jugs" thread too.

They're staked in and not intended to be serviceable, but it's very possible. A lot of manufacturers used staked ujoints these days, so there are

From what I understand, you just grind out the stakes, and then install a conventional u-joint. Doing it "correctly" involves balancing the assembly, but I've even heard of people doing it themselves without issue (I might try that on our Outback soon, as it's got a little vibration that I suspect is driveshaft related).

Also, second result when googling "Austin MN Driveshaft Repair" is:
