Hey, I'm working with Ohio Generator to figure out an idle voltage issue with my H.O. Alternator, but to test one theory out I need to swap in a normal battery, insted of my optima yellowtop.

The readings I need to take would take less than a half-hour, plus the time to reinstall the batteries.

So is anyone here willing to let me borrow their battery for this? Or have a fully charged/working battery laying around? That I could use for this?

    The sooner the better.

    Thanks,
    Matthew

P.S. anyone interested in an Optima Yellow Top in good condition? I'll be getting rid of it soon for a much higher performance battery.

It would need to be a battery that's in a fully charged state, so it's in "normal operating conditions"

    thanks though

I got a battery from Justin, it's sitting in my kitchen charging:hsugh:

I'm going to toss it in the car tomorrow and take the readings that I need.

    Thanks for the offer though.

I'd be willing to help you out with the iPod interface though. I work a lot, but could probably find some time. PM me if you're interested. (what stereo/ipod interface is it?)

P.S. anyone interested in an Optima Yellow Top in good condition? I'll be getting rid of it soon for a much higher performance battery.

it's mostly mounting. it's the Harmon Kardon Car+play.
These things came down in price like a BRICK recently.
you can pick one up for $100.
    Best. Stock. iPod. Interface. Evar.

i've got a couple of buddies who already offered to help, but i thought if there was a you scratch my back/i scratch your back solution that helped both of us, i'd do it.

BTW... how much does the optima weigh? compared to the stock WRX battery?

I think it's somewhere around 40lbs. I'm not sure what the stock one.
