So i need to make some little changes to our grimmspeed font/logo what have you and i want to append another word to it to give me more options. i'm having a brain fart on cool sounding words to go along with it....this is what i have right now ...it looks cool i think but should we really use the word 'motorsports', is there something any of would think sounds better? ideas? likes? hates? I don't like "motorsports" it's too long ... you'd have to change it to like "Grimm's" or something. I'll think on this one.
or Grimmspeed performance seeing as you arent really a Motorsport team or known as a racing team.. but as selling aftermarket performance parts etc
yeah joel that is a really nice flowing name....i like the only thing that first comes to mind is if/when we become a PERRIN i think the name may make us sound smaller than we are...if anything we want a name to make us sound bigger. does that make sense? am i just on crack? example GrimmSpeed Manufacturing vs GrimmSpeed Garage big sounding name vs. small sounding name i really do like it though...
i purposely picked a longer "secondary" word because grimmspeed its self is long so i thought it would look better when viewing the logo. you think a smaller "secondary" word would look better?
yeha I guess Motorsports looks better and sounds better.... garage does sound like some kids playing big shop... Motorsports looks ok...
I don't think there's anything wrong with sounding smaller than you are. It sounds more grassroots, more approachable and friendly. Manufacturing sounds too impersonal to me. and GSG has so many cool logo possibilities.
Exactly. It's not like you (gs) are ever going to become something like M$ -- you still gotta remember that Subaru performance parts are ALWAYS going a niche market. IMHO, GSG ftw!

Fine. Let me rephrase: The aftermarket performance market is still a niche market when compared to the vast majority of American business. Because of this, I think that staying true to the enthusiast will be beneficial in the long run. Stay grassroots and stay true to your beginnings. IMHO, GSG totally reflects this. Justin - did you forget where you began this little adventure? (hint: in your tiny ass garage)
I say leave it at Grimmspeed. Perrin doesn't have any crap after it if you 're striving to be like them!
no i didnt forget arsehat. i definitely want to keep grimmspeed grassroots acting...but at the same time when trying to find vendors to carry our products i need a legit name, jim bob's garage doesnt cut it.
another reason i picked motorsports off the bat is that when i work with other companies even after i tell them our name, they always append motorsports onto it.
we arent changing the real name of the company ....just adding a descriptive word for advertisings sake
