I've been looking for an inexpensive set of rims for my WRX for the summer. I don't want to burn up my (all season) winter tires. I just picked up a set of 205/55/16 tires (stock size) for a very good price. All I need is another set of rims. Everything I read says that the stock rims on the WRX are 16x6.5 with a +55mm offset and 5x100 bolt pattern. All the aftermarket rims I find have an offset of +35 to +45. The websites I read also say that the lower the offset the further out the rim goes from the centerline. Also changing the offset changes the geometry of the suspension. I'd like to keep it as stock as possible. So what it comes down to is this... Anyone selling a set of 16's for a WRX? Or what inexpensive rim are you going with:???: Derek
I think you'll have a hard time finding a better deal than a set of stock, split-5-spoke 16x6.5" WRX wheels. While hunting for 16x7" RS wheels, I couldn't hardly SPIT without hitting a set of 2002+ WRX wheels for sale (on ebay, for example) for VERY reasonable prices. Conceptually, you could REALLY cheap-it-up with some steelies, like the 16"ers from a Forester -- but the sets I found for sale were usually almost-new, and rarely cheaper than four alloy WRX wheels! If you're not in a hurry, set up a "favorite search" on ebay, which will automatically email you with a link to any new listings fitting your specified description. http://motors.search.ebay.com/subaru-wheels-16
