Have all of the help we need. Thanks! http://www.voxmedusa.org/ Last year we sold out at 11:00 with 1,300 people. We pool all tips and split them evenly between everyone that works. We do however guarantee a minimum of $200 cash. You must be at least 18 years old with valid ID. Had a few people ask me for more info on barback spots. It's straight forward: Show up at Solera on NYE at 6:00. Wear all black. Can be black jeans and black t-shirt. You will be assigned to a bar (there are 12 bars) or a specific task and get a walkie. When a bartender asks for something, you go get it for them. Could be ice, beer, booze, glasses.... You have to be able to carry stuff. Help clean up a bit while having a beer; get done at 3:00 or before. Get paid. That's it. Easy money. PM me. Thanks! Josh
^Hell, that's all u work for at a Restaurant/Bar...Your hourly wage hopefully covers the taxes Usually the wait staff gets more $$$ than the cooks
You need none to barback. You make the same $$$ since everything is pooled and then split. Just more grunt work to barback. We have beer tubs too. I'm sure you can open a bottle . Although I usually like to put foxy lady help there.
I will be PM'ing you shortly. I'm 19 and would love to make some extra cash soon. I need to talk to a couple buddies of mine and see if they might be able to barback with me, otherwise it would kind of ruin new years to not at least have a buddy around.
i wish i didnt have to work at my real job.... but double time is ok with me, have a great time guys/gals!!
I went to a New Years event at Solera about 4 years ago, and if it's the same one, it is one hell of a party. Definately worth a visit...and if you're getting paid, even better.
What Bikerboy said. Plus, rather than go out and spend $$, you make $$ and still have fun. You won't be nearly as hung over the next day!
Got help for you!!! Yo Josh give me a call or email me My buddies Za and Eric (DJ EZ) are willing to work and have experience too. Later, EL Constantino
Maybe interested, could i be sent some more info, like where this is at etc and about how much $$ people made in the past? Im 18 with no experience in bar backing, but carrying stuff cant be to tough.
Much thanks to Josh for the hospitality last night!!! You have a very nice restaurant, and I regret not going sooner. We all had a blast last night! Thanks again also to Zach, the 'hired help', on the Grey Goose station on teh 4th floor.
No kidding. SRSLY! You should all take your special lady friends (Fong, you can take Nathan) to Solera for dinner. Great place, really. And the food is top freakin' notch.
Of course! Just let me know you're in. I'll always give you guys some love. Man, I can't thank everyone that worked enough. Awesome night, our best ever. I was a little worried about attendance because of the snow. Turns out our crowd wasn't afraid of a little snow. Not sure I'll do the open bar again. People got stupid drunk. I kicked out one guy for peeing in the kitchen! :eek4: And that was at 10:00. Thanks again and Happy New Year! Josh
Hey Josh, sorry i wasn't able to join the festivities last night! Sounds like you guys had a blast though. Steve said it was utter chaos---and he loved it!! He hopes you keep him in mind for any future events to come! I'm glad every thing worked out last night for ya, sounded like a full house and then some!!! I'll be in with the woman for that dinner discount in the near future.
