ss4 ss5 (I actually dislocate my shoulder on stage halfway through :eek3 ss6 we placed 2nd in class for both 2a and 2b. we placed 5th overall for 2a and 3rd overall for 2b. i think the rain worked to our advantage as the clay based road got very very slick and our low power and good awd (GEMS controlled dccd) system seemed to handle it very well. major thanks to dave for sitting next to me and trying to keep me on the road. also thanks to dan, sara, matt, dan for crewing (and dan's parents for letting us stay at the cabin). thanks to all the workers and volunteers, the weather wasn't the best but you all did a great job!
ss5 or ss6 are probably more interesting runs to watch as they have the little spur road which is about half as wide as the main road
Damn that looks awesome. Nice job guys. That road looked very challenging. I'm just curious on the notes, you don't get notes for every corner?
That was crazy about your shoulder, did you just pop it back in place or what? Also that was some good driving, looked slick
we are running off the route book which only has especially dangerous or odd corners/features. dave transposed it to jemba stage note style calls. at ojibwe we will run with real stage notes and those will have all the corners yea i somehow popped it back in place right away before the next shift lol. all the adrenaline kept the pain away until today
well done Crave i am still surprised how good that camera setup ended up few crew pics, let me know if you want others -Tall Dan
the trick is to never lift. that tach pretty much never goes below 6500. 136whp isn't a lot but it's enough to keep the car moving pretty good.
It's called a subloxation, I've had plenty of them along with dislocations. I'm on my 8th shoulder surgery. You need to take care of that thing so it doesn't become a chronic injury. Great videos!
Especially when we're sliding into a corner and the car looses all traction and the ditch comes flying at ya. :eek3::biggrin: It was a great time and Carl did a superb job!!!
