Event Date – May 9, 2009

Event Details – Nemadji Trail 1 is 2 co-efficient 1 Stage rallies headquartered in Duquette, MN. The rally is intended to be a low key event, perfect for first timers or veterans looking to shake out the cobwebs. The Nemadji Trail itself is just over 9 miles of smooth, twisty gravel forest road. The road is run twice in each direction for a total of just under 35 miles of stage road.

11:00 AM – 1:00 PM Registration at Duquette General Store
11:00 AM - 1:30 PM Tech Inspection (Scrutineering)
11:30 AM - 12:30 PM Novice School, Duquette Park
1:30 PM Mandatory Driver Meeting
2:00 PM First Car starts Nemadji Trail 1A
4:00 PM First Car finishes Nemadji Trail 1A
5:00 PM First Car starts Nemadji Trail 1B
7:00 PM Approximate time First Car finishes Nemadji Trail 1B
8:00 PM Awards Presentation, Duquette Community Park

Entry Fees –
Through May 1st …….……$125.00 per event or $250.00 for both events (cash or check). Fees are per car. Driver changes between events are allowed.

May 2nd through May 8th.…...$200.00 for each event (cash or check)

May 9th ……… $500.00 cash only

(There is a credit card processing fee when paying on line.)

Withdrawals before May 1st will be refunded minus a $50.00 processing fee. Withdrawals after that date and before the car starts the event may be refunded at the organizer’s discretion. In the event that the Nemadji Trail is cancelled entirely, a full refund will be given.

Competitor Registration –
Registration will be open April 8th through May 8th. Please register at https://www.rally-america.com/account/reg.login.php. You will need a Rally America Id to login. If you don’t have an id, please contact Rally America directly.

Worker Registration
Workers are always needed. There are many jobs to be filled so if you aren’t sure what you would like to do, please contact Carrie Carlson.

General Information

All event activities will be at the Duquette General Store or the Community Park. The store has made to order deli sandwiches and has been supportive our event. Please take a moment to check them out and say thank you. The Awards will be presented at the Community Park, which is 2 block northwest of the General Store. You can either leave your vehicle in the service and walk or there will plenty of parking.

Seriously, the Huebbes are quick in that thing and they'll be fun to watch, though they may or may not be faster than the SlowTi.

And I'll be lucky if I have my new car in my hands by then, much less built to compete. Ah well, baby steps.

This is your two week warning.

If you are planning on entering, but haven't done so yet, do it now! Due to increased road usage fees, the organizing committee of the Nemadji Rally series has decide that if we do not have 10 paid entries by 5:00p.m. May 1, this event will be cancelled.

looked like 2 or 3 more on special stage were going to sign up in the near future

if we get to 9 entries can I just pay another entry fee to keep it going? :laugh:

This is a huge bummer. I know Carl, myself, and the crew have been really looking forward to this event.

Any suggestions on event sponsors? Previous companies/organizations that should be approached?

 

If there was a car available to rent cheap enough, I'd consider running the event myself, but I haven't found one at this point. I'll still work it, if it happens.

 

we are up to 6 entries. I will personally pay a second entry fee if needed

 

who rents cars? I know sisu rallysport does but anyone else?

 

the rental fee at sisu isnt too bad. what keeps me from doing it is the req'd deposit. i dont have a CC and i dont have that much cash on hand (if i did i would have a rallycar by now.)

 

if matt himes enters that will put it at 7.

need to get jarvey and cox to enter. but that is still only 9.

who is left?

doug dill has been working on the 7 lately maybe he wil run. that would make it 10.

looking at the entry list, our car is decidedly too new and it has too many axles :laugh:

 

Well, it really would be two entries if I got the second truck done, since I have drivers committed for it for both Nem 1 and Nem 2 if I can get it done.

PS Huge congrats to Carl for pulling off his almost-ready-for-his-first-rally! No one understands what a monumental project it really is until you actually do it. GREAT to add another car two the MN rally scene! As you can tell, MN stage rally is an endangered species. We need all we can get since we are near falling below "cricital mass" where there are not enough teams/cars running to cover event costs.

 

well hopefully the second truck can be finished up within the next two weeks! If you need a hand, let me know

we went through the tech inspection sheet yesterday and the only thing we're really missing are license plate bulbs lol. we are just about set - swap to the other suspension, mount the first aid kit, mount the tool kit, add an exterior trunk release and a few other minor details

 

Dave Parps of the Gravity Park Rally has made the following offer to all Nemadji entrants.

"We would like to offer one $25 Gift Certificate/Entry Discount voucher to each entry in the May 9, 2009 Nemadji Trails rally as a cross promotion and hopefully an incentive to get more entries in your fine rally."

I'm in need of a navigator to ride with me in 000. We will pulling double duty, leading the bannering teams, so we'll be up there and out in the woods a lil earlier than everyone else.

I'm looking for someone who has some experience with a route book (stage rally or road rally), but that's negotiable. I can always give you a crash course. What I'm REALLY interested in is training a future Banner Chief If you're interested in helping to organize future events, you're my

3) A warm body that can read
