The Nemadji Trail Rally Committee is please to announce the dates for three Nemadji Trail Rally events. The events will kick-off on Saturday, May 9th, the second event will be held June 13th, followed by the final event on July 25th. The May 9th event will consist of 2 Co-efficient 1 Rallies, headquartered once again at the Duquette General Store. Look for Worker Registration and Competitor Registration to be opening soon.

Want to drive every mile of the rally, in YOUR car? Sign up for bannering. I'll be taking a few cars out to the course to help me with bannering off the road. The cool thing is, you can also work another position in the event.

When you register to work, check the bannering box.

    Thanks
    Breon

Yes it is! I've doing it at the Ojibwe Forests rally for years. I might have to break in the new suby. We'll see how much vacation time I have left.

I will be at all of them. Hopefully I won't get the surprises that I got last year. Like surprise, you are working the flying finish. Or surprise, you need to marshall and park in the trail that has the 4 foot deep water hole. Even with the surprises, it was a blast.

LOL @ Russ.... surprise! I will probably be able to make the May 9th event. It's right in the middle of my exams (literally, I have one the Friday before and the Monday after) but it should be okay. The others are up in the air since I will likely be back in Milwaukee and 7.5hrs is a loooooong way to drive for one day!

The first time I ran sweep at Ojibwe, I figured the first person I would have to get out of the tree's was Mark. Not for the way he drives, just because he is the one driver that I actually know. So the whole weekend, every time I heard that a car was off someplace I just hoped it was someone other than Mark. The The only person that I have actually KNOWN was Scott Putnam, and he was off a 15 foot high cliff:eek3:, so there wasn't much I could do for him. So that is a surprise that I really don't want to see.

Aww yes, running in sweep vehicles is fun!! I've driven safety sweep a few times and it is very interesting hearing over the radio that someone is off and hoping it wasn't any of your friends.

I think it's funny too when you hear people talking about certain rally drivers and then they mention an "off" that they had at a national event last year and you tell them, "Yeah, I've got parts from his car still sitting in the back of my car." Their first reaction is "How did you get them?" Then you explain the whole "safety sweep" concept to them.

I can't wait for the Nemadji's this year. I'll be up there working it again. Breon, we'll be available for bannering if needed. Not sure if we'll have the CR-V or the MR2. Either way we'll have the ham radio with us and a rally computer.

    See y'all up there!!!
