yes tons. your car needs to meet rally america specs (as in full cage, fire system, etc.). it also needs to be log booked
As carl said. This is for full-blown prepared rally cars. There will be another RallyX event on April 27 (I'll post more details on that when I have them), which is open to any car able to pass a basic tech inspection. However, the Nemadji Trails rally will need volunteers. It's an easy trip up to Kerrick from the metro, and you don't need to worry about lodging, like you do at most of the rally events, as you can easily drive up, volunteer at the event and drive home all in the same day. ScandiaWRX is the volunteer coordinator, so I'd expect to see more about the event from her shortly.
at one time i dreamed of building a stage rally car. so I got very familiar with the rulebook and then I got very sad after realizing how much all the safety items alone added up. now I have a dream of building a stage car someone else has already built  maybe a few years from now...
if I was running one of these events I would not want people periodically showing up on the stretch of road that is used to "rally" on their own. if anything bad happens you could lose that venue. if you go do **** on your own, do it on your own - don't post about it online in a thread for a sanctioned event.
Same kind of workers needed as the Ojibwe rally (corner marshals, sweep, etc)?? I may be in. I have to check the calender. Russ
Yes, same worker needs for this event. The event information is now available at http://www.snowstates.com/events/nemadji.htm . Mark Utecht
I'm signed up. If anyone wants to go up Friday night my parents have a cabin twenty miles from Kerrick. We have a few spare beds if anyone is interested. I may bring the guns and do some shooting on Sunday as well.
We have made a couple small changes to the Nemadji Trail 1 stage rally coming up this Saturday. First off, the event steward has been changed to Bruce Weinman. Secondly, all registration and service activities have been relocated two miles further north on Hwy 23 to the Duquette General Store. The revised event information and supps are posted at http://www.snowstates.com/events/nemadji.htm . The awards will be presented at the Duquette General Store. The Duquette General Store has a deli for sandwiches and such. The River Inn also has sandwiches available about .25 miles north from the Duquette General Store. After the awards presentation, any who wish to attend are invited to the River Inn for an informal dinner opportunity. Mary Utecht
As you may have already read, registration, service and all other activities for the Nemadji Trail 1 Rally have been moved from Kerrick to the Duquette General Store. Worker registration will open at 9:30 a.m. For those interested in helping banner, please plan on meeting at the Duquette General Store at 10:00 a.m. and also please reply to this email so I can have an accurate count. We will have a worker meeting at 11:30 a.m. at the Duquette General Store. Workers will be heading out into the woods following this meeting. All workers will remain in place through all 4 stages. Following the last stage we will return to Duquette for the awards. After the awards presentation, any who wish to attend are invited to the River Inn for an informal dinner opportunity. Directions to the Duquette General Store: Interstate 35 N to Highway 23 East (Banning Junction/Askov exit) Right on Highway 23. Follow 23 E for 20 miles. Duquette is 2 miles past Kerrick. The General Store is located on the left (North) side of the highway. Please park toward the right side of the building. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. Given the nature of these changes, please respond to this email so that I know you have received the updated information. Thanks. See you in the woods, Carrie Carlson
I could pick you up but I'm going to be up there for the whole weekend so it would only be a one way ride.
Feel free to use my place to meet. I am just north of Forest Lake, just off I-35. I will be leaving my place at 9:00. That timing should allow plenty time to make it up there for the normal worker meeting. Let me know if you want to meet at my place and I will PM directions to you. Mark Utecht
I just registered to work. I figured this would be a good rally to bring the GF along for her first experience. We'll be camping somewhere up there Friday night and will do our best to get there in time for bannering Saturday morning. See you guys there
I'm leaving Friday as well. If you want a free place to camp or want to stay on the futon in my cabin let me know. The cabin is just west of Finlayson so it will make a short drive to the rally Saturday morning.
