Is it just me or does alot of America seem to think the manufacture of the product is always at fault? I'm tired of reading articles where someone obviously used something incorrectly and in turn the product failed. I see it everyday in retail and let me tell you it is really annoying, the stories I here are so outlandish sometimes. It's like, really how long did it take you to come up with that story. Anyone else work in retail?
its subaru's fault when you go 15K miles without an oil change and they wont warranty your new turbo and heads and shortblock....thats an example i see all the time.
Customer buys tires, the brakes are obviously rubbing for 20 miles the sidewalls of the tire blow out and for some reason we give him a new tire. Even then the customer is still upset with us and the way we handled the situation.
I fixed it for you I used to work in retail, and this sort of thing happened all the time. Go watch "Clerks" again
Yeah, i am not surprised. But its much easier to give a customer a new tire and maybe a 20% discount on a new purchase than say "its your fault, you should have adjusted your breaks properly, too bad for you".
^^ he has a point. Arguing with the customer about who is at fault is never a good idea. Then again, if they take their business elsewhere, no big loss
how about when a customer approves a proof, with spelling errors in it, then we have to remake it. spell check, or your pay check!
Phi11 works for a sign-making company. The "proofs" are the drafts of the sign. So what he is saying is that people send in proofs with spelling errors all over them .. and the sign co gets stuck remaking it after they notice the spelling errors on the finished signs.
Customer: "But but, Amsoil and Mobil 1 said I could wait 15k!!" You: "Did you read the owner's manual?" Customer: "WTF does that have to do with anything?" You: "Under the conditions in which you drive the car, the oil changes should be no longer than 5k." :rtfm:
We have people that scratch their game CDs then they crush the disc into 100 pieces, and claim the disc was like that when they opened the box. We had one guy claim that a game killed the power supply on his PC, it spun the drive too fast he said. He bought it at Wal Mart, and Wal Mart is God so the sales people made us buy him a new PC.. from Wal Mart.
LOL! Thats funny. Thanks for the explanation LOL, i bet it happens all the time. I am sure there are thousands of people that have no idea how to even check oil level. I know my gf has trouble doing that.
ecuflash is at fault.. I flashed my ecu and it fried.. i want a replacement.. oops already am buying one $235 arrives monday with Vishnu stage 2 tune already installed.. woot..
