I bought this car, and I'm not that fond of the color and no that isn't a carbon fiber hood, its painted black... but thats not why I bought it. I bought the car because its an 04 with 29k miles on it, under-warenty and I got it for a good price.

Anywho I'm wondering what you all think of this beast. I understand that BoV's can be harmful to WRX's, make them run lean? ( or rich ) Also I have an understanding that the CAI can be of some harm as the stock intake is very strong to begin with?

Also I may need to get the tint stripped off due to it being way too dark, unless I can get a dr.'s note as to allow me to have darker then leagle tint, does anyone know a good place to get this done for a reasonable price?

What do you all think about? Just looking for some input on what to do with this little guy.

I also just finally got it tonight after 6 hours of driving there and back, and it looks a hell of a lot better then I thought it would, the pictures don't do it justice, that is on the paint job. It's a custom paint from ppg is my understanding. It's a tri-colored paint, Key Lime. It has an TON of gold flake in it and is suppose to have some blue but I don't see much or any really but haven't had a chance to see it in sunlight yet but it looks quite nice.

    Thanks,

    Stephen.

I think it looks pretty good, it needs some rims bad, but atleast it's different. Welcome!

I agreee it does need some rims haha but that'll have to wait atleast a little while, I R poor here atleast for the first month. When I first saw it I was really hesitant... It seemed too 'rice', especially with the painted black hood, but it was too good of a deal to pass up and to be honest I didn't really care what it looked like it was what was inside that I wanted.

As far as the modifications, specifically the BoV and the CAI, worth it to leave em, or just preference, especially on the BoV or could it be detramental.

I would remove that AEM intake pronto and slap the stock box back on if you have it.

    nice name.

kinda describes that paint color. goddamn thats vivid.

I also bought a car i wasnt wild about the color but it grerw on me. however repainting is something that has always flashed through my mine even though its an expensive paint job i'll be painting over too.

my advice is just get rid of the black hood and it'll probably look a whole lot better. I wonder what kinds of person had this car before you... PPG paint, but a tsudo exhaust???

At first glance, it's an ugly WRX. Now that I look at it again, I like its individuality. It's not a bad color, and the girls might think it is "cute." :p

I agree, when I pulled up to the gas station we I saw it I turned and said... holy **** thats quite rice. The weird thing is, it was in a small town in iowa, but let me tell you it really has grown on me, the paint is such high quality. I'll post a couple more pics, it has some matching paint inside and under the hood... I think I might have to get a CF hood because repainting is really not an option and I don't like the fact that it's just painted black but it doesn't look too bad.

It's clean, runs smooth, not much more I could ask for.

Also another question, what exactly is a Tsudo exhaust... I'm assuming it's the brand obviously, it doesn't sound bad at all. The one thing I don't like is it has quite the MASSIVE muffler, not a big fan haha, you could stick a grape fruit in there and still have room around but thats okay, just something else on my long list of to-do with it.

All I know is this guy put a decent ammount of money into this car, and I'm just glad I got it.

I'd be more concerned with removing the intake. Skewed MAF reading are worse than a rich condition between shifts from the BOV, imho.

What is the max psi you are seeing in the car? I'm suprised that it doesn't have a MBC, since it already had 2 of the 3 proverbial WRX "no-no's."

No gages yet, so no idea, I'm pretty sure I'm goin to take off the CAI and just sell it and see what I can get for it, probably the BoV too, just a matter of when I get time.

hey coming from Australia and seeing cats painted all sorts of colours on the 4 cylinder and Rotory scene for over 10 yrs this thing is normal.. it is different here cause everyone wants to be like everyone else...

the green is kinda woooah at first glance... but man it defintiely looks nice the more you look at it, and the fact that you WILL not find another like it in the state... is sweet
