The article does mention the possibility of awd being an option. I wonder how different the trim will be between the 2 companies (thinking of the differences between the saabaru and the wrx).

The Toyota will be boring, bland, and lamed out with all the electronic no-fun gadgets that they put in their other cars...and the Subaru version will be quirky, bordering on ugly, get worse gas mileage and have gold wheels and none of the no-fun gadgets.

I'm negative about it because I thought Toyota's relationship with Subaru would be a good thing, but judging by the recent Toyota cars, Toyota's influence will only result in dull cars.

I'm pretty excited! I use to want a Celica for my first car but I got better! A Subaru. Now the possibility of the two being combined is pretty interesting, I can't wait for the outcome.

Aw...2011 now... It was supposed to be 2010, and this is as far as I'm aware the new Toyota Corola (dubbed "new AE86"). I know there was mention of Subaru helping out with the powertrain, but past comments didn't mention a Subaru engine. It is sort of figured that witha shared venture, both companies get a version. It'll be neat. I just hope they keep it small and light. Miata killer?

"Blade Master" sounds like a MMORPG NPC.

eh toyota has always been in the dull car business, and when they amde cool cars they never sold well.

I want toyota to just buy subaru out and turn it into a boutique brand for awd performance cars.
