I took delivery of a new car this afternoon, it's a 2008 Forester XT Limited. Since they seem to be about as easy to find as a unicorn in hell I ended up picking it up in upstate New York and just stopped for the night on the drive back. It's got 27k miles, and in pretty good shape, though there are a few scratches here and there.

The 2008's got VTD which is one of the reasons I was looking for that instead of the 2007's, plus it's a year newer . I really do wish that I could have gotten the heated seats/mirrors and power seat in the Sports model though, it looks so much better than the limited, but I wasn't willing to give those things up for a lip, spoiler, bumper, and wheels.

There's not much that I'm going to do to it, but I am planning on sway bars, Forester pink springs, stereo, HID's, better brakes, probably some tint, and moving the carputer over.

This marks my fourth Subaru, and hopefully more to come down the road.

Here's a crappy cell phone picture I took at the dealer lot.

Swift FXT springs + oem 20mm rear bar is a great sport package for it that handles well but also rides nicer than stock.

That's almost what I've got on my 2005 FXT right now. I've got the STI pinks instead of the swifts. I'm thinking about just switching the springs over, but I'm not sure if I should since they've got about 90k miles on them.

I'd be pissed if I went all the way to New York for a scratched car (unless they were up front with you ahead of time). The seat heaters could have been install aftermarket, unless you park outside overnight I could live with not having heated mirrors, and I have never understood the popularity of power seats-I hate waiting for the slow-ass motors when I need to move the seat. Just my opinion. Hope you enjoy the car.

There's only one that won't go away with a good detail, and I knew about it before I went out.

So when is our next scheduled test drive? JK

So this is what you've been up to, Congrat's on your four. I just hope it grows up to be a great member of the community and not rub banks and Evo's the wrong way.
