be on the lookout for a dark blue Impalla, its a new under cover (to me at least) , I think it's a state car, I have seen what I beleive to be the same car in a couple of cities. You can identify this car from a distance only by the large number of antennas, no other outward signs.
I'd watch for the undercover grey Dodge Charger that patrols around the cities. I saw it today and he had someone pulled over off of hwy 62 and Penn. Ave. You can't tell its a cop car unless you see the lights in the front and rear dashes, and by than its too late.
Yea them police are getting trickier and trickier. If anyone is ever out in the burbs [E.P. mtka area], they have a couple Explorers [one white, one blue] under cover. I've seen the Charger too, scary...
^^^ I've fell for that one. On I-90 out by Rapid City South Dakota coming up to a construction zone. I laughed when I got close enough to see it didn't look any thing like a person in the car.
All of the 07 Impalla's that the State Patrol got, they turned them into the undercover cars to do radar. I saw like 7 of them one day coming back from Century College earlier this year.
The manequin thing sucks, because they leave the radar on! (at least on the two that I've seen out by Renville)
the undercovers here in EP are nuts now, its a good thing i was delivering all the parts to the city when they are getting worked on and i have seen all of them. lol
back in Australia they would use anything from tarago vans, V beetles, mini coopers and camry's etc..... oh yes.. even wrx's... but that was cause the Falcons (fords) and Commodores (holden / GMH aka GM) couldnt keep up with them on pursuits....
I saw a 1990s dodge caravan undercover pull someone over on 94 last month. It could be anything. I was gotten by a black charger RT last year.
In West St. Paul they have an undercover Toyota 4runner which they got from a drug bust. I believe that he also has a K-9.
I see all kinds of crazy cop cars around my work. An early 2000's teal minivan, an early 90's explorer, and even a grand am! Something to do with the courthouse over here (brooklyn center) maybe?
I live right off 60th and xerxes and see that bastard there everytime I come home for lunch with someone pulled over or just sitting....watching.....waiting. He sits on the side of the road like a parked car, can't even tell its a cop.
i know EP has a fully unmarked black unmarked charger thats for sgt's with black hockey pucks for radio, they have a marked too, they are cool cars. the main speed enforcement officer drives a silver 07 impala that has hidden lights but does have a small badge on the door but thats it. they have hockey pucks for radio coms and new radar guns and are real hard to identify. they have a new suv too that looks cool when the lights turn on. Bloomington is switching to the chargers too and ive seen them equaly unmarked.
Brooklyn Park has two chargers out constantly on hwy 610, one white, one black. no prominent antennas, the only way you can spot them is from the strip of lights on the top of the dashboard or the rear window. my brother got picked up by the black one about a month ago.
I saw a someone getting pulled over by a Iowa State Patrol Ford Aerostar a couple years back. Wouldn't that be frickin' embarassing. Steve
On a related note... We were coming back across 94 then 494 coming from Cold Springs to Rochester yesterday and the bastages had two guys zapping people from an overpass right before Eden Prairie. Down the road there were atleast four cars pulled over. Steve
