Recently purchased a 2005 OBP Legacy GT Limited. The first Subaru I've owned and I'm really enjoying it. I've been trying to learn more about my new car so I've been lurking on some of the other Subaru forums and came across MNSubaru. I didn't realize there was such a huge Subaru fan presence in MN. I'm hoping to keep my LGT relatively stock due to it being my daily driver, but I'm still looking to make a few modifications to increase reliability and performance. For now, I'm planning on ditching the catted up pipe and swapping out the down pipe. Then tie it all in with a tune. Still haven't decided on what to go with as far as up/down pipes, but research is half the fun. Hope to get to an event sometime to meet some of you when work/family allows.
Welcome, and doing proper mods with proper research will definitely increase the fun factor on a DD but also keep the reliability there too.
Welcome, car looks good. Ive always kinda wanted one of these. Hopefully you can come to the summer meet in La Crosse.
Nice looking Legacy! Welcome! It's odd, I never gave those a second look before I bought my WRX and joined this forum this past summer, but the more I see posted on here and around Duluth, the more they are growing on me. Even the wagons! http://mnsubaru.com/threads/post-your-legacy-pics.37862/
Welcome, looks just like mine If you want, go with Invidia or you can keep it stock. I did for 3 years If you need a tune go to Devoted Auto in White Bear Lake, He'll go the extra mile to make it perfect for you and him
Welcome to the site. Might want to check the banjo bolt filters too. They are the leading cause of turbo failure, right after neglected service intervals. Is yours an MT or 5EAT?
Thanks for all of the welcomes! I was originally looking for an unmolested WRX and in my research came across the LGT. After test driving one, I found what I was looking for. Terry: The first thing I did after I bought it was to remove the banjo filter(supply side). That and changed the oil from Mobil 1 to the Rotella T6 that so many seem to recommend. Car is a MT.
