I'm from across the river but pretty close, Eau Claire, WI. My name is Shawn, I've been wanting/looking for a WRX for many years now and finally was able to pick one up from a forum member on here. It's an 02 WRB WRX wagon. It had a TBE when I bought it so I took it over to Nuke on Friday and had him tune it.

All in all, I love the car. I wish I would have purchased one back in 2006 when I was considering one (instead bought an SRT4). I've been a forum member on here for a couple years now, just never posted but now that I'm part of the group, I will be visiting quite often.

Anyways, here are a couple pics:

HIII, I'm new too. How was the SRT4? I have been browsing craigslist/SRTMN, testing the waters.

I really enjoyed my SRT, it was mildly modded and running 12.6's w/ slicks. It also was easily capable of 30mpg on the drive home from the track. It's a great pocket rocket, if that's what you're looking for. The WRX is much more of a car and for being almost 10 years old, has no rattles compared to the SRT. Not that my neon was a rattle box but it definitely felt cheaper compared to the Subaru. The only real complaint I have of my SRT4 was no traction once i started running 18-19 psi with the supporting mods. You don't have that issue in a suby. :)

The best advice I have for you is to drive both and sleep on it for a few days and see which one you liked more.
