Hey guys, whats up? New to the forum, however, I read up on the posts. (Creepy?) Anywho... I'm looking to buy a 1998 Legacy GT and would like some info/feedback/helpful hints. Ive got a link here for it as well. Any and all help is appreciated and thank you very much in advance! http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/hnp/ctd/1872955192.html (yeah its craigslist... give me a break :laugh
Not sure, I work in Elk River now and haven't been around Princeton much lately, but I graduated from HS there. But if I'm in town i'll keep an eye out for ya!
Watch for headgaskets, always make sure you arent low on oil, run premium fuel. It said head gaskets were done, that doesnt mean they were done right though, if take for a LONG test drive, let it get really hot, see if it overheats when coming down from highway speeds. Same goes for the trans, get it really hot and do a few 1-2 fast shifts, see if you get any grinds, otherwise these are sweet cars, very reliable.
Yeah I definitley don't want to walk into headgastkets that need to be fixed. Not as mechanically inclined as I wished. I'm just torn between this car and college costs...
