Hey, I recently picked up my first Subaru as I've been driving other types of cars for awhile now. Needed the space and reliability so I went with an Outback H6. My brother is on here too and am no strangers to Subaru.

This is a pic from the day I brought it home a few weeks ago. Despite it being an H6, I still get better gas mileage than the last car :coffee: I wish it came in a 6 speed manual though as it'd definitely make it more fun for me. Got the factory hitch put on too.

Nice outback! I wish we would have went with the H6. Although I do enjoy the 30+ mpg in the summer. Welcome!

30mpg would be nice, but lets face it, I came from a Lancer Evolution X running on E85 (and would switch back to high octane pump gas in the winter) and I average 15mpg in that thing and a 14.5 gallong tank (I'd have to fill up every 150-180 miles depending on the seasons). Anything right now is better than what I came from (which the H6 doesn't exactly sip gas but much less than the last car). I tried the 6 speed manual 2.5 but just couldn't handle how underpowered it was in an Outback (wish they would put it on an H6 or bring back the XT version with a manual only).

Needed the space to fit a bike for my races and didn't want to fix the Evo (stupid ACD pump died like they all do in MN). Always knew I was going to buy a Subaru and just wasn't expecting to do it this year (was thinking of buying an Audi as I love the way they drive but don't love the way I have to fix them all the time from past experience).

Welcome aboard! Nice way to get into the Subaru crowd with an H-6.
