well mostly new.... I picked up a '14 Outback last fall. Been through some ups and downs already, though through no fault of the Outback!

Bought it in Brooklyn Park at Morrie's on the last day of Sept, then had it got hit while parked on the street 10 days later by someone who had a tire blow out and lost control in front of my house, the day I left it on the street instead of the driveway....*sigh* The folks over at Morrie's Bodyworks seem to have done a good job as it still drives great. It spent a month in the shop, but good portion of that time was waiting for parts. No drift, shakes, or funny noises...but will be watching it like a hawk. Thankfully, the main-frame wasn't bent/damaged, just the suspension and body panels...but still ended up being a hefty price tag...glad it wasn't my bill!

Then my neighbor slid out of his driveway and across the street and gently bumped my front end in the last big ice/snow, but just enough to scratch the paint, so that just got replaced....but that I consider pretty minor. Honestly if I had done it myself and been the hook for the repair, I might have just left it, but figured may as well get it fixed since their insurance was willing to bring it back.

Got the Outback, because I do need to haul stuff around and it seemed to come down to for good bang for the buck, a nice ride, and overall reliability seemed higher than most. To be truthful, I wasn't even looking at it from a AWD perspective when shopping since I literally got around the last 5 years in a Honda Fit in Minnesota relatively fine. But this past winter had me very grateful for it and it did end up being very impressed when I was pulling away from icy intersections while watching Edges and CRVs spin in place.

Was pleased to stumble on this forum, I'll probably be more of a lurker, but will try to participate ;) I do have a buddy that is on the board for one of many MN 4x4 clubs, not gonna go all crazy off-road, but wouldn't mind hitting some of the lightweight trails for the sake of getting out and about...

Yes, yes it... One of my daily stops for the webcomics, that along with a 'few' others make for a good time waster or well spent depending on the day!

Awesome choice. My favorites bar has like 40 different comics, Sinfest, VG Cats, Ravens Dojo and Nerf This!. Highly recommend Nerf!

I just uncovered Nerf This! which makes me side that I had missed it all this time, but now I have something to tear through. Schlock Mercenary, Order of the Stick, xkcd, Menage a 3, LFG, Least I Could Do... yeah... the list goes on!

And how are you liking the BRZ? (just noticed the sig) I was eyeing that up in the showroom while I was there, and was thinking I need to start plotting my mid-life crisis car....

Like all the reports say. Slow in the start. Its quick and agile though. Winter has been cake. (BTW I know about 3/4 of those comics) Not as powerful as other Subaru's but its fun. Plus if I want to go super fast that's what the Bell is for!

Welcome!! My mom has had very similar luck with her 2013 Outback with a hail storm and my uncle backing into both passenger doors being the culprits
