Welcome everyone, I previously had a Scion tC and a 2000 Miata. In October a guy in a pickup ran a red light and totaled my Miata (nobody was hurt). I decided instead of having one fun car and one practical car, I'd get a WRX that's more spacious than my tC and fun like the Miata. I ordered my WRX in mid-October and got it in early December; it's been a blast so far. I'm definitely not doing any engine mods, although I may do some suspension mods after the warranty is up. Coming from the Miata, the turbo Boxer is amazing. That said, although it definitely handles well, at times I really miss the light weight, agility, and more 'raw' feeling of the Miata's handling.
Welcome to the forum. I have a Miata fanatic in my family as well. They are awesome cars. Glad to hear that the truck didn't total you.
Welcome! I came from a tC as well. And while the WRX will never feel quite as light as your Miata, some suspension mods will get it close.
