i just installed my tanabe springs and theyre making a weird clunky sound out of the front.. we double checked everything so i dont think anything is loose. are they just settling in or is something wrong?
my guess is they are setling. give em a week or so, if they still make noise then start to worry. everytime i jack my car up it takes 2-3 days for the clunking to settle down. if all the bolts are tight there should be no worries.
Make sure your upper spring seats are rotated the same direction as the bottem where the spring sits on the strut.
congrats! stop by sometime and I'll check them out for you.....but as they said, let them settle first.
check the center nut that you tightened it properly.... we had the same issue with mndudes rear spring on passenger side and found I had forgotten to double check that I hit it with the impact... little oversight but easy fix... springs dont usually clunk unless you have them badly rotated... which is kinda hard to do seeing as they have to sit in that groove type thingo... open your hood.... press down on the front guard making it bounce and watch the top of the sturt.. see if the nut lifts or not.. if it does tighten it... if it doesnt check your spring seating ... but most likely it may be a bad top hat / bearing plate!?!?!
