Hi Everyone, I bought my wrx in january from a local dealer and have been checking out this site for a few weeks. I thought it was time to create an account and introduce myself. I just love the car a lot. It is my first time owning a car with real performance. Checking out this site, I learned a lot about the car, the community and also learned about autocross events. I went to a couple autocross events which were great despite the bad weather last week end. The car was stock when I bought it. I bought an accessport 2 months ago and loved it so much that I went on and bought a cobb downpipe. Something that I would have never dreamed of happened and I actually installed it myself after buying a hydraulic jack and other tools. I actually spent about 5 hours under the car. I know it is a lot more than most actual mechanic would spent but it made me happy. Going stage 2 as a result has been great. I just need to find a closed circuit type of place otherwise I won't be able to keep my driver's license. I am proud of my car and happy to join the community. Stephane PS: the name is French, hope this won't be an issue
Welcome! Nice to hear you taking the plunge and working on your car yourself. It's extremely rewarding and you develop even more respect for your car. My WRX was my first performance car as well about two and a half years ago as well, and I'm still loving every moment of it.
