Hey all, I guess this is a re-introduction. Long story short, my fiance and I purchased an 09 Impreza Outback Sport as well as an 09 2.5i sedan last August. I ended up selling the 2.5i and buying an RSX over the winter. Well, I missed mine, so I ended up getting this 09 WRX now. Love the car already, smooth ride, just needs a shorter shifter! As for plans, other than the shifter not going to do much, pretty happy with the power, at least for now. I'll try and update with the photo of both the cars together when she gets home from work. 6/25 UPDATE: Just got the SPT exhaust put on. ended up being $250 installed, so not too bad. Sounds great, nothing to over board. I'll have to update some pics of that once the rain stops. As for now, just going to get a navi put in soon, starting to wish I would have kept the one from my 09 2.5i now. Thanks to everyone for the tips on checking the flanges, we went over it pretty good and still seemed pretty solid. Also, I noticed a HUGE difference where it splits to the mufflers. The stock y pipe went from big to 2 small pipes, the SPT just carries the same diameter all the way through. View attachment 22464

welcome, again! The gr sedan is slowly growing on me... much more than the hatch at least. What year rsx did you have? We went from an rsx to an lgt and haven't looked back once!
I actually picked up an 03 RSX Base. I know its a base, but it was at least 5spd, and it only had 13k with a spotless record. The thing was, is that I was going to preorder the 2011 WRX next week, but the more I looked at the wide body, it just doesn't look good to me, but thats just my opinion I guess. I'll get some better pics, I really like the white, looks pretty sharp with the tinted windows I think.
Went back to the dealer today, found a guy that works there that was trying to sell an SPT exhaust from his 08, ended up getting that for $250 installed, will have that on Wednesday. Thought it sounded great, nice and subtle. He also seemed pretty bitter about buying an 08, and the 09 coming out shortly after with 41 extra HP...
I like my STP exhaust. Putting a stealth back onto that + a tune will really light up your 09. One thing to watch is the weld on the SPT exhaust. There is a lot of issues with it not holding, and all the pics seem to be the same joint.
Thanks for the heads up. Which area specifically seems to be the problem? I'll probably take a look once they've got it off his car before it goes on mine.
