I have been a new owner for about 4 months now just starting to join a forum as I am new to this interweb thing. Long story short I bought a 2005 STI and it blew up on me 3 days later so I took it to a dealer and traded it for a brand new one. I should also add I am in WI right now but MN is home and go back all the time and will be moving back to Lakeville area in August. So far I have been enjoying shopping and designing my STI in my head. A few mods so far but still also looking for a good tuner in Twin Cities area. I have talked MAPerformance but that's it.

Also under my hood is quite red kinda what I am going for if you don't like it that is fine I understand people have different tastes. future mods consist of new fuel delivery setup FMIC w/red piping. After that turbo upgrade thinking ATP GTX3576R so I can bolt the ext W/G right to the turbo and all my other piping would be good since its a stock location setup. I am thinking 8mm phenolic spacer with TGV deletes so I can hopefully get the 3" Perrin turbo inlet in stock location. any pointers would be great I am definitely not an expert just having fun along the way to more HP. More pictures to follow for exterior this is the only one I had on the computer right now. Thanks IMG_0146.JPG

Majority of the people on MNsubaru have taken vehicles to Nuke from NF performance for tunes including myself. couldnt be happier! nice shot under the hood, and welcome!

You missed a few black hoses ;). Welcome to the team. Interesting perspective on the 8mm spacer. I never thought of it as a way to get a 3in inlet to fit. Nice. Just be sure you install the FMIC before you do the TGVs/ Spacers, since the TMIC likely won't fit. People will hammer you for going right to slapping on a bigger Turbo (because they care and don't want to see you kill a nice car nor waste your $). You want to take an incremental and very well thought out approach. What downpipe is on it?

Completely agree with Scifidelity. I have no idea how to quote you in my text box properly. err sorry. But yes I have had a few fast cars in my day this is my first AWD. My basic plan right now is just bolt ons then engine block followed by the turbo. and maybe go GTX3071R still long ways off so very undecided. Most depends on how much money I can hide from the wife. lol. As for the Downpipe I went with a very cheap catless Tsudo for $178. not sure if it the right way to go but wanted catless for sure. plus it has a Bell mouth instead of the divorced WG flange.

Welcome aboard! I like the red under the hood. As stated above don't be in a huge rush to mod the living **** out of the car. The biggest thing is to enjoy it. Congrats on the new ride and hope to see ya at some events / meets in the near future.

I have 2 tunes gifted to me from Perrin one for w/o the DP. the other is for with DP. They said I am okay to run catless but to not push it over the top until I have it in for a protune.

Also I should add currently I live in Wausau WI. I work for a Building supply / Millwork company Wausau Supply aka Waudena Millwork. I have no idea if thats important but thought I should add it. I understand people sometimes have questions in life not related to cars…seldom… Also thanks everyone for liking the look that I am going for. Hope to have some outside pics up soon once Kwik trip opens the car wash lol.

Derp, When you say skip MAP do you mean just the tuning? Reason I ask is i was looking at the options the have for built short blocks and such. and they kinda seam like walmart for us in MN they have prices on the web a tuner and products. full service tune shop. I guess what I am getting at is I am so new I don't want to go a wrong direction but also like saving money and being able to plan everything out in my head, I'm crazy like that. Thanks for the heads up

not sure I follow are you asking what is taking me so long to get a pro tune? if so then yes mainly finding the right place secondly wanting to have extra cash when they tell me I need more fuel I can just buy the parts. plus $600 is a lot to drop for a pro tune at least that is what MAP quoted me.

I went cheap with the same Tsudo downpipe and I haven't had any issues. The welds looked decent and so far after about 10k miles, still seems ok. Fitment was pretty good.

I would agree with everyone pushing you towards NF. Good guys to work with. Get a tune with NF as soon as you can, just beware, all this moar powah stuff is addicting.
