We know how much our customer's cars mean to them! As such we have installed a monitored alarm system through Floyd Total Security to ensure that your baby if safe and sound while its in our shop! Yet another way we are continually striving to be your source for automotive performance!
SOOOO, whats the point of the thread? If you are trying to sell this system you need to post it in the correct forum.
??? Just letting our current and potential customers know that if they choose us for their performance needs that their car will be protected...
^ I think he meant that he installed a shop alarm with monitoring, when customers leave there cars with them that it will be safe and not broken into like other dealerships.
I was watching the Discovery Channel and this theif that was hired to break into this guy's shop (with an alarm and a pitbull as gaurd) was able to get in. The method he used was simple, effective, and didn't trigger the alarm. What he did was pay an employee in exchange for the security code/key and snuck into one of the cars in the shop until the owner closed the shop and left.
Better check all the cars before you guys close up for the night or early morning! ARn't you guys at m.a.p supposed to be at SEMA??
This is probably going to be a real shocker, but I would guess that every dealership in the metro area that belongs to any of the big names (Luther, Morries, Hecker, etc) is going to have an alarm system. I know the Morries stores do. The breakins that have occurred have been on cars outside the shops, not inside. That alarm system isn't going to do much if the cars aren't inside the shop. Same reason why the police didn't respond when the cars were broken into in BP. They were outside, so the alarm co. didn't get any notification. If they'd have broken inside the shop, it'd have tripped the alarm.
I think everyone has alarms. Our system has motion detectors and glass breaks throughout the building, fortunally EVERYTHING comes inside at night so it is covered.
I sure hope that almost every shop would have a dang basic alarm. If you can afford a shop you most certainly should have budgeted an alarm system for it.
Buerkley Honda doesn't have alarms. They have a guard which didn't see my Prelude get broken into. They opened the hood and stole parts. With my STI I tell them it needs to go into the shop at night. Oh, Buerkly Honda didn't arm my alarm. I asked why not and they told me they don't need to cause they have a guard. I said, that works well huh? I had to call the police as they didn't want an incident and didn't want to pay for anything at first either.
um.... its clled reading the post... it is clear he is saying that they installed a good alarm system at their SHOP to protect their customers investments... either that or he added those details after you roasted him...
and our shops alarm is built into the fire brigade as well.... its all part of owning a business and having insurance if you store a customers car inside...
