Recently drove away from Morries Suburu in a 2014 STI in metallic silver. I was driving a Kia Forte before hand and could not stand driving an automatic, sounds stupid but i drove a mt ranger for 9 years prior.

Any way, i just wanted to say hi.

    I'll put up a picture tomorrow :)

I do plan to take her to stage 2 this summer. I've been taking with DB Performance Tuning in Rogers about getting a pro tune as well.

Hope to be at around 300whp

Thanks for the posts about guys!!

Does a good job and i like the gauge readouts. Price is high but offers very conservative maps, so i'm not locked in like an aggressive pro tune would be on my car.

He will until he gets a pro tune!

Nice car man, welcome to the forum. Get a TBE exhaust installed ASAP, the rumbles will make you pee a little! VOID the warranty at all costs it makes you more badass in my book ;)

    Haha :D

I will stick with the AP for a few years.

But yes I do plan to get new cat back exhaust and a better down pipe.

    As well as:
    Sways/Endlinks
    Black summer rims
New trunk lid to get rid of that damn spoiler!!!

Do yourself a favor. Get a real tune and have them put it on your AP. It is a cheap insurance policy ($150-$300) AND your car will run much better. I started with/ tried to go the over the counter Cobb map route, and my car ran not well. There is so much variance car to car that saying one map will work for every car is kind of like saying everyone wears a size medium T shirt.

Jeeez really? I like the bigger wing it's kinda what reminds me most of the Subarus! I've been trying to find somebody with a 11+ sti that wants to trade their lid and bigger wing for my OBP 09 wrx sedan lid and small whale tail wing. It would give the narrow body a little more pizzzzazzzzzz I think :/

Seriously take it to to NF to get a tune before you regret it. It is not expensive, especially compared to the AP. A pro-tune doesn't have to be aggressive, if you tell the tuner what you want they can make it even tamer if that is what you tell them.
I know the map notes say the OTS Cobb map works with the AEM CAI but modern turbo subarus are very sensitive to changes in intake and it will be much safer with a protune. Especially in this cold weather, like Nuke said, don't be surprised if you boost creep or overboost...

Yup,yup and yup. Everyone here has seen guys do this only to get a custom tune by Nuke shortly after. Op, welcome to the forum. But do yourself a favor and take advice from experienced Subaru guys who know what they are talking about. They aren't gonna steer you wrong.

Lol they say that? I thought there was a different one to download for their CAI at least? I bought my AP from Perrin and they had a map for stock + their CAI.

Yeah in the new Cobb map notes I found they say it can be used with the Cobb SF or the AEM CAI. Which makes me leery because they are two completely different filter designs so they likely have a different pressure drop across the filter. Maybe Cobb has different maps for the two intakes, but it looked like it was just the notes for a single map.
The AEM dryflow is a paper type filter more like OEM and the Cobb is an oiled filter. I can't say for sure which is better but they certainly do not have exactly the same flow characteristics.

Exactly, Nhibbs! Seems unlikely that the two would be identical length and diameter as well. I might as well ask them if that map would also work if I just clamp cone filter onto the end of the inlet... I mean that map is versatile...

Remember the stock tunes on the 07 STi worked as well. Sure they blew tons of motors but the tune worked!
