I came across this site while using TapTalk about a month ago and, finally, I am getting around to posting an introduction here. I purchased a MY13 WRX hatch from Morries of Brooklyn Park back on Nov 12 of last year. I was rather pleased with the whole buying experience there and it was nice to see the sales guy take such a great interest in my 2 year-old daughter. He did everything from playing games with her to getting her snacks/water as well as giving her a ballon to chase around (the ballon is still in the back seat of my car). I only hope they are this nice to me when I bring my car in for service when something eventually does go wrong. This is my first Subaru and could not be more happy with it so far. I absolutely love how this car handles in the snow with proper tires and the acceleration onto the highway is also a plus. The car basically went from the dealership to Discount Tire within about a week so I cannot comment on how well it handles the pavement but I am sure I wont be too disappointed. Anyway, here's my Subbie: And here's a shot of its winter rims/tires: As far as mods go I have only done a Perrin heat shield and Kartboy front/rear endlinks--the front links are horrible. I haven't done sways yet due to not driving it much with its summer tires. I'd like to wait and see how it feels first before I go about changing the suspension around. Next Monday I will be installing Perrin shifter adapter and shifter bushings, Group-N trans mount, and TiC tranny crossmember bushings. After that I think I will get a turbo blanket and steering rack bushings. I don't have any immediate plans on doing any engine modifications in the near future but who knows lol. Welcome to the site. Sways are very nice to have on the hatchbacks. I picked up some Whiteline Adjustables for my front and rear setup (with RalliTek Endlinks). I would really suggest the Whiteline over the Perrin. They have held up well, zero issues. As well the Whiteline have the extra support in the rear, which Perrin does not offer. Look around for prices, but I found that Import Image Racing had the best price hands down. Hit me up if you have any questions.
Yes, when I do go w/ sways, I will be picking up Whiteline. I'm unfamiliar with AWD and how they are balanced and I see all sorts of size recommendations from 25/22 to 22/22 w/ H/M, S/H, H/H, H/S etc. To get rid of understeer on front wheel drive I ran a huge rear bar w/ a small front. But w/ AWD I am seeing people running a bigger front bar to get the same results. I'll probably go with 22/22 and run a S/M and see how it feels. I don't want too much bar. Any advice?
Thank you. It was cold and windy the day I picked it up so I didn't get too many pictures but I couldn't stop starring at the car lol. I really wanted the white but I couldn't find any and didn't want to order one or go out of state.
Thanks to everyone else. I don't know how to do multiple quotes using TapTalk and I don't want to do a bunch of single quote posts. Does anyone here have any experience with Morries' service department? Are they a pain in the ass when it comes warranty work and following SOA's oil recommendations? I went back and forth w/ their 5W-30 RC ILSAC recommendations but in the end I went w/ 4Qts of M1 0W-40 and 1Qt of M1 0W-30R to thin it down slightly and get a little more moly. Anyone have any stories?

Nice ride, Congrats! I also just picked up my SWP 5 door at Morries and had my oil changed at 1k and service seemed great, however it was not with anything to do on warranty. I was told by my sales guy there that you can't go a mile over the recommended maintenence without them likely denying warranty work. Just what I was told, anyone else with input?
Thanks. I'm not worried at all about actual oil change intervals. I'll do a UOA w/ TBN @ 3500 and see how it looks and, more than likely, do another @ 5000 and dump it. I keep all my receipts w/ dates/miles @ which I did the service, regardless what it was I did to the car. Okay, not in regards to windshield washer fluid. I saw a post over at NASIOC where someone went in with a misfire and the first thing they did was dump his non 5W-30 oil and charged him for the oil change. Of course the misfire still occurred with the 5W-30 but his oil did not meet spec and, I guess, they can't diagnose a misfire w/ non compliant oil lol. I have zero patience for crap like that so that's what I was wondering about in regards to Morries. I know GM has the same requirements but I never consistently ran their spec oil and I never had any grief from their service department. I usually used Redline 0W-30 instead of SN 5W-30.

Hahaha, yeah. When I went there the 5-door had already been spoken for and all they had were the sedans and there was a blue limited floating around between dealers but I just wanted the base model. While talking w/ the sales guy about maybe getting a 4-door or finding where the limited was located another guy came over and said that the man holding the hatch has withdrawn his deposit. Lolz, I'll take it tyvm!
No doubt! Have you been satisfied with the interior build quality? My car has 1500 miles on it and the dash rattles like nobody's business
I have absolutely no complaints w/ the build quality so far. I've put on about 1100 miles and haven't heard any rattling from the dash at all. Sorry to hear that you are experiencing it though. Its kinda of funny, I hear many people complain about Subaru's interior build quality but coming from 10 years of owning 3 Saturns I feel like I am driving around a european sports car lol. I loved my Redline. The 2.0L Ecotec engine is amazing but all the GAPS in the hard plastic dash and rattling!!!!!!! Who knows, maybe I've just become desensitized.
Yeah, I've never been much of an interior guy. When I first saw the Focus ST I was intrigued but as soon as I saw the center counsel, eak!!! I just prefer simpler layouts and designs; no navigation or touch screen information center and 1K's of buttons like the wife's '13 explorer. I just want to drive. Heck, I still haven't tried to figure out the bluetooth phone system or homelink lol. I'll probably do some accent work like red stitching for the shift and e-brake boot and a new shift knob but that will probably be it, excluding gauge pods of course.
Earlier this evening I installed the group-n transmount, TiC crossmember bushings, and the Perrin front/rear shifter bushings. Overall everything went smoothly. I placed a jack underneath the front of the tranny and removed the crossmember braces, trans mount, O2 sensor and rear heat shield. I was then able to easily remove the front and rear shifter bushings. It was still a pain in the ass to install the rear bushing. It is so much bigger and stiffer than the stock piece but it does go in with a little persuasion. The rest is just the reverse of the disassembly. I do have to say that the stock tranny mount is very weak and flexes like crazy and the crossmember bushings are incredibly soft and compliant. If you are doing the group-n mount it is definitely worth also getting either the whiteline or TiC crossmember bushings. After finishing everything I went for a drive and its a completely different car as far as shifting is concerned. The shifts are now very dirrect and solid. I didn't go crazy into the corners or do any hard acceleration but you can still tell how much difference the new trans mount and bushing made. I still have to install the Perrin shifter adapter but the daughter is now awake so I will do it later this evening. Very happy.
