I just purchased my subaru about a week ago. Has some minor body/rust repair and misses on the first Cyl. But I've been busting a nut getting this thing to drive right. Pulling the heads. Exhaust valve is either sticking open or chipped or something of the unusual.

~Bought these because I got them cheap but kinda big with the small calipers IMO... Powder coating these things Lime Green

So about a week ago I removed the heads to see what was leaking, after I did a cyl. differential pressure test, you could hear it coming through the exhaust when you put your ear up to it. Well I am not going to bore you with anymore of this stuff.

    Right side...

Cylinder one intake valves are bent, the chipped one is a exhaust.

Just got this into today, also a new Inlet tube. (Not pictured)

Looks pretty sweet T-Pain! Green wheels will really stand out.

Where are you doing the work? Do you have a lift at your house? :)

Thanks ben! That is what I am going for but not trying to make it ricey.

At my shop (Grandpa's business). We actually have 5 (6) hoists. 2 center post, 2 dual post, 1 Drive on. The sixth one is a portable lift... If you get that? It'll only take it so high but it works for me right now!

Took the rims in today around 1pm got them back by 4! About $100, not including labor, for the sand and powder coating. Thanks to Powder werks of Lake Crystal!

Kinda hard to see but there are Arctic cat green.

    Just got it in today!

I might want to get some wheels powdercoated in the future. That sounds like a hell of a deal. I might have to get the contact info from you :)

If you blast them yourself, which is kinda time consuming, he coats them for $15 a rim. If he blasts them for you it runs about $40 a rim. Sand runs about $7ish a bag and it takes about 1 1/2 bags to strip the rim completely. But takes about a 1+ to do one rim.

If I did the math right you are saving about $20?(That is at $10 a hour) But you get the experience!

Thanks! Yeah, I wasn't a fan of the WRX wing. I probably slam it a little and then start re-doing the interior.

    Arexis. lol.

I blacked out my interior from the doors up. A, B, and C pillars, domelight covers, visors, oh **** handles, stereo surround, dash cupholder, hvac beauty rings, and plugs in Duplicolor Flat Black. The headliner too with the Duplicolor flat black fabric spray paint. Took about 3 coats, but man it is soooo much better than the light grey!

I was thinking the same! Black out the interior. All the little fascia stuff. My RPM lights are going out. Funny story. 0-5 are lit then it dims to nothing towards the red line. But then the needle doesn't light up from 0-5 and then lights up after it. It's like it has it's own shift light!

Hahaha. Talk to "blackozone" if you want to customize the interior lighting to led. I went with blue on everything...hvac controls and gauge cluster and whatnot. He can do red also so it would resemble the STi stuff. Good guy and top notch work! If you want to check out my interior to get an idea on the "black out" and the lighting, just lmk. If i had a camera, i'd just snap some pics for ya, but i don't. lol

Yeah, Curly told me to look at his builds. I am still debating on what I will be going with. I would probably wrap the headliner in something fancy. Or paint it :p Yeah that would be sweet if I could check it out sometime!

I've tried suede...ended up going painted as i got tired of it not properly adhering. Painting was way less work for sure. Just lmk, you can check it out anytime! I'm happy with it.
