Predictions: Closest to the actual numbers will receive a couple of beers on me when we go out this weekend. 225 whp 218 wtq - Eric 245 whp 245 wtq - Nate 225 whp 235 wtq - Tom 220 whp 230 wtq - Dave 215 whp 210 wtq - Nuke 220 whp 215 wtq - Russ 205 whp 193 wtq - Dream 216 whp 210 wtq - Dizmal 220 whp 235 wtq - Bielke 224 whp 233 wtq - The Mix 218 whp 207 wtq - Curly 220 whp 233 wtq - Shibbs So after installing my new GM BCS last night I had Bullwinkle do his magic. After a couple 3rd gear pulls we came up with a very smooth map. Heres a link of my road dyno and Nate's comment on it Link "Here ya go. This was from the second to last run, where the car pulled a tad bit of timing from up top. So, the power in the final tune will continue to increase to about 6500 rpm, and then go flat or decrease to redline. It would be safe to say you could add around 5-10 more whp."
All dynos read differently. The main thing is that they are consistent.....and from what I've seen with that road dyno is that it has been very consistent for me. The only thing you have to be careful with is that you make sure you use the exact same stretch of road when generating plots.
moe i see, i venture to guess he didnt, because there was no safe place to pull over and check his oil.
Well the only real way to measure total power is to do some 1/4 mile runs. All dyno's are just tuning tools. With that said, I've found this software to be pretty good, and the couple guys over at enginuity found it to be pretty close to actual dyno numbers, but I'd take all dyno numbers with a grain of salt.. I wish I had logs from before the GM BCS, damn that thing is one good cheap mod. Chet gained a ton of boost for $60.
Invidia divorced dp, SPT cb, Crucial up, air box mod w/ k&n drop in, GM BCS, perrin ic hose kit, and Bullwinkle's maps.
Well that explains why your car blew up in the first place. M1 is notorious for burning off very quickly.
Why not, Dave bet me that if I make over 250WTQ (right Dave?) on Ronnie's dyno (if I get a chance Friday) he will buy all my beer for this weekend. It might be close...
I said 255TQ area AND 240+AWHP, but is you get over 250TQ I'll still buy you beer. However, if you don't make the numbers what do I get? You buying me beer? or I mean Patron!!!
Thank you....that's what I'm getting at. That would be that fastest stage 2 car around... maybe he could get close with an EGT gauge, modified injectors, fuel pump, and bigger IC. that's why I'm willing to buy beer....if he could actually get to those numbers:laugh:
Bahah, good stuff. What type of dyno would you be running on? I'd venture to guess 225 whp and wtq on a dyno dynamics and 245/245 on a dynojet/mustang. FYI Chet, I just tossed your last log in the application (close to the final tune, but only got from about 3k-redline, kinda late for making peak torque), and it made right around 240/240 with all the same SAE corrections (~250/250 without). You should go Friday, It'd be nice to see how close the application actually is.
If I made 249whp on the RS mustang on e85 there's no way in hell this car will make 245 with stock injectors.
i swear by AMSOIL ive ran it in everything i own car, truck, dirtbike, snowmobile. Never once have i had a problem. plus regular maintaince helps out alot which most people overlook.
Stage 2 WRX on the RS Mustang dyno were pushing 210whp. Custom tune, might net you 15-20 depending on aggresiveness, but I doubt you will get anywhere near 250. To put it in perspective, Steve-o with intake problems on a 16g made 250 on that dyno. I made 268 on a VF34 and a Front mount with a custom tune. Just to put things in perspective for you.
