New wheels on the wagon (many pics, 56k beware)

So i have been rocking the new wheels for about a week and a half now and i love them!
they are ALT 18" x 8" et:45
225/40 18" Dunlop Direzza Star Specs
i bought the tires before i knew i was getting wider wheels, my next set of tires will be 235's or 245's.

still needs a little adjustment with the coilovers, might raise it up a hair and i think i am going to roll the front fenders for some more clearance (rears are already done), i only rub on big bumps or with a lot of weight in the car.

say all you want about looks/function...blah, blah, blah. i autocross the car and use it for everything, i am going for a little more aggressive look but still very functional!

Went cruzin around minneapolis and st paul on sunday and found some good spots for pictures.... enjoy. I just did some editing within iPhoto on my fiance's computer. they were taken with her Rebel Xti, with the kit lens, im no photog but i try

Damn! Good pics, and this one is really good at accenting the rims, but can't approve of the new color, sorry! Where did you find the kick-ass graffiti??

 

the first graffiti wall was in st paul and the second one in minneapolis.

a lot of people are disgusted by the color, but i like them. i was originally planning on painting them but then i got them on the car and really liked them

 

I like the wheels a lot. Any plans to ditch the pink? it would look so much cleaner/well put together without any of it

pics 7 and 10 are awesome, love the black and white, nice shooting, where did ya find the place with all the pillars? #10 look menacing

 

try parking the car farther away from the walls/pilons and other things because your subject is the car, not the backgrounds. the photos look a bit too touched up in photoshop (not as crisp and natural) so be careful with that "shadow/highlight" tool.

the car looks awesome and i like the wheels a lot! should let me get some picks of it soon! i know some spots i want to try out but they are all down in the cities if you want to drive down.

Have you considered removing all of the pink?

 

most of it... i am going to keep the pink "i" badge and the pig but the pink stickers will be replaced with white most likely when i can get around to getting new ones.

The black and white pics are the best . I'm on the same boat, can't approve of the color scheme. Love the wheels though (I guess I should, I do have a set).

 

I like the wheels, I like the car, the pink looks like pure hell. Why not get a mustard colored pig?

i like the pig... i may move her though, i cant get rid of her she has been with me for over a year now and its kinda like "my signature" nobody else has anything like it

Dig the pics man. Are you shootin' with an SLR? See if you can get your hands on a lens with a short focal length. The ride would be crystal clear and the backgrounds would have a nice blur to it. Anyway...nice!:biggrin:

BUT - I dig your flat black roof. Did you do that yourself, or did a body shop do it? Looks nice. I didn't notice that when I was at your place putting the GMBCS on.

My roof has weird spots on it and could use a repaint. Was thinking black since the WRB is expensive.

As his fiance the one thing I will not let him do is remove that pig.... i lufs her. I like the pink and silver....not the mustard colored wheels but to each his own.

Hang the pig from the mirror or something, seriously. Paint he horns, get rid of the pink vinyl, shave the emblem backing, and the car will look nice.
