h haah a... nah.. I just have teh taste I have in rims whether 19s or 15s.... I am for more open rims... They are nice rims, but lots of spokes and the center is solid is what throws me off...

but hey if he loves em thats what counts...

Now go get em on your car...

One issue I need to work through, however...

I have about 3mm of strut clearance. Fine for the wheels, but no way the tires are going to fit. Maybe time for spacers....

The rear will be rolled (especially with spacers), but there appears to be just enough room up front. The outer fender is not the tight fit, it is on the inner fender when at full lock.

    Enkei Sport RC-T4
    17x8
    ~16lbs
    ET48
If you can find them...~$1300 (I got a deal as they were the last set they had)

    Imported from Japan

The funniest thing about them is that they are advertised as "Competition Use Only", they even have it molded into the wheel. However, they have met all the VIA and JW requirements. Apparently, it is more of an advertising gimmick.

when you lower the car off the jackstands your strut and fender spacing is going to change noticeably.

    what offset are the wheels?

Hehe, I think I am aware of that....However, it will change a lot less than you think. ;) The car will be about 2670-2680lbs when back together this spring. Combine that with 9k springs...very little travel. You can already see the droop I lost going to the JICs (look at the rear pic). I also run about -3degrees of camber up front.

just checking - a lot of people on 240sxforums would post pics of their wheels with the car on jackstands and then be like, oh look how flush my wheels are going to be, and then when they lowered it the wheels would be very sunken

I had no issue with 225/45-17 with my Rota TarmacII wheels (17x7.5). Also note the setup, the tires never went up into the wheelwell, even under full load.

The only issue here is going to be the strut. I can find 5mm spacers, but none that are 3mm with the correct bore. :( I will have to wait until I get the tires so I can space them out and figure what I need. I think a 3mm will work, but may have to go to 5.

Nope, the Rotas are used as winter wheels on the STi and I plan to put RA1s on them this summer....put those on, slap in the R4 pads and away we go, off to the track. :p
