I have wanted an Impreza for about 11 years now, and I think I picked a great year to finally buy one. Proud new owner of a 2010 WRX Sedan. Bought the car 9 days ago from Mike at Morrie's Subaru. The whole experience was excellent and super excited to have a second Subaru in the household. Found out about this forum from the NASIOC forums and am looking forward to heading out to some events this spring/summer. Don't have any immediate plans to change anything on the car. Finally got over a 1000 miles and the enjoyment it brings is great.
Congrats on the purchase! Keep an eye out on the stickies in the events section. We tend to have weekly meets, two different ones in the summer, and larger get-togethers every 2-3 months.
the best way to break in the car is to bring it to a Rally Cross event and get it dirty!!! welcome to mnsoc!!

Nope that wasn't me. My morning commute takes me west from Bloomington. The car is actually back at the dealership. Pretty terrible rattle/buzz in the door panels with any sort of music being played. Figure I might as well make good on the warranty and have them pop the door panels off instead of doing it myself.

Gratz on the new car! I have a 09 wrx limited and had a rattle comming from the passanger side door when the radio was on. Defective speaker they warrenty replaced it last week. Good thing i paid for the premium sound system so I could listen to what sounded like a beer can rolling around in my door for 6 months. lol Nice now that its fixed tho. The 2010 still come with Dunlop perf summer tires on them? One more thing for ya. Mine didnt like sub zero starts much. Whined pretty loud but switched to Mobil 1 synthetic and it seems to be pretty happy with it. Alot less noise when I start it in the morning. GL with the new toy!
Thanks for the tips. Yeah the 2010 has Dunlop summer performance tires. Planning on getting some winter tires and wheels for next season. But don't plan on driving it too much in the winter, have the outback for that. Just waiting for the first oil change to get switched over to synthetic. The dealer was able to get the rattle/vibration fixed in both front doors. Only had to deal with it for a week, not 6 months. Here is the picture of the Outback I promised. 2001 Outback Limited
Nice ride! Is that the dark grey or black color, I cant quite tell from the pic. I just rolled over 6000mi on my 09 and am loving it! I think that rattle issue you are having is pretty common on the new wrx's. I have it too, but only when certain music is played. Luckily its not too bad.
Thanks! Its actually black. The dealership was able to take care of the rattle from the music. They put some more padding in the door and now I don't have any issues. It was all done under warranty too. Thanks!
good looking car, but imo you should of waited for the 2011 WRX to come out....widebodied, redefined suspension, wider wheels..but anyways welcome
