    Hello all subie fans,

Brand new to the subie scene and just wanted to introduce myself. Also what i drive 2006 infiniti g35x or was a g35x until some cheap jerk stole the x. I swear in a week I'm going to see a ricer with a x on it like CorollaX, or maybe a Civic SiX but enough of my problem onto why i am a newb. Getting a new toy 2001 rs black built to spec with a wrx engine with stock tranny and upgraded clutch. Also on last think I work around cub food on rice and 36 and saw a black rs gc with jdm rear lights and gold rims if it's anyone in here sweet ride.

    HI ALL.

Getting the toy in about 2 weeks can wait and wanted to know more about the subie awd system if it was like g35x.

OOPS miss the STICKYED NEWB INTRO.........MY BAD

    Welcome

The subi awd system is a perminiant system with three differentials. It depends what model of subaru but these diffs. could be: open diff, plate diff, cam diff, torsen diff, electro magnet plate diff.

In the 2001 RS I believe it is open front, open center, and plate rear.

Yeah having the dealer do the entire swap before i get the car. That's why i have to wait and i hear the stock tranny have better ratio. Reason for gc instead of any other impreza is i hate the bugeye turn me off of subie dont like the head also on the new 2006 and the 2004 and 2005 are to expensive for the sti because they're the only one i would get and after seeing the 98-01 body I couldn't keep myself away. Only turn off was the power the 2001 rs has which is why i decided to go with a swap. Why wrx instead of sti you may ask? Three somewhat okay reason 1) The wife said I cant have that much power because I'll speed to much which is true cause everytime i see a ricer pull up next to me I just want them to eat my dust. 2) Didn't see the need to have that much power for a five minute commute to work plus I think i have ricer syndrome ( then need to go cheap and put more unneccessary and very expensive bolt on crap that will screw up my car later). 3) lastly wasn't about to shell out another 4 grand to get everything.

what i really wanted to know is what ratio is the subie giving in a gc is 50/50 for front and back or is it something else.Like on the g35x it is mostly 20/80 making the car feel more like a rear wheel drive car then a awd until the system notice slip and traction problem.

But thanks for the Info just wanted more clarification
