I will let you know right away that this goal is rather expensive and time consuming. There are a couple of people here who are still working toward 500awp. I think Adrenalin Rush's car has made it there, and beyond, so you could try talking to him. But honestly, on a daily driver, you will be pissing more gas away than you want to put in there, it's up to you to decide if it's worth it.

Have you done any mods to your car yet?

Hey man, I can input quite a bit on this one seeing as my car has been almost around the 500 mark for a few years now and WILL make over that this summer. You will need bigger injectors if you want to run E85. I went from modded stock injectors around 900CC (made 491whp on 110 race gas but its $7 a gallon and thats too expensive) so last year i moved to Ultimate Racing 1260cc's and becuase of the amount of fuel needed to run E85 I also upgraded to DUAL 255 walbros and 2150cc's this year. and because of the nature of most of the high HP injectors you will have to convert to TOP feed. HOwever you can get by again and make 500hp with 1000cc's but you will have to run 110 race gas. What engine management are you running?? Good luck on stock internals....??? Thats pretty risky. As for gauges if you want it to look good and DEFI guages are quite commonly used becuase the backlight color matches the stock guage clutster lights. However they are pretty expense. I started with Boost, EGT, and Oil pressure. NOw i also have a AFR gauge and a fuel pressure as well. Good luck with your build and im sure we will see you around.

IF you want your car set up right get ahold of Bikerboy (Matt) down at RS motors in burnsville. Only person that has worked on my car and is a VERY VERY well known and even more so respected builder in the midwest. There is no question he as built more motors (and high HP) with whatever reliability you can get at 500hp than many people around here!! Take care

Also Fuji and Nuke are good dudes too!! They can do some crazyness!

Didn't we have a chat already chewy? Lol
If you really want power on race gas, go ahead. You'll just have to keep pumping it on the tune until reflashed again to run on pump gas.

You need a manual boost controller, a chunk of cardboard to cover your intercooler, and the crappiest/aged 87 octane gas you can find, then go do a top speed run, you'll love it, expecially wifout a toon.

I have a built Sti and love to work on cars in my spare time. If you are serious about modding your car and need someone to help you install any parts I do cheap work and mostly just enjoy getting my hands into any vehicle. Let me know, I'm located in Mankato

Just so ya know, I know a guy running ID 1000cc injectors on E85 that laid down 503whp. Injectors are MAXED out! 100% duty cycle. Really it's pushing 'em too hard but they'll do it. That's also on stock internals. Probably should have blown the motor long ago, but he's been beating the hell out of it for 6 months with no problem.

I'm not, in any way, recommending running 500whp on the stock internals, just that with a GOOD tune, it's capable of it. I would do Wiseco pistons, and some kind of good quality rod, Manley, Crower, or Pauter (if you can afford it) would be my suggestion. Beyond that, I'd go with good bearings, Subaru head gaskets, and stock everything else. Should be good to run 500+ with that.
