Hey guys so im looking into buying another subaru soon and i found this 2.5rs thats in nice shape but it has a savage title.:eek:hnoes:

Do i stay away or do i take the risk? i'm gonna have it checked out definitely and i really don't care about resale fact since i'm gonna keep for long time and when i can, make it more fun... What are your guy's thoughts on SAVAGED title?

well one obvious give away of a really bad headgasket is the oil will be milky. small leaks are harder to tell but drive it a bit see if overheats

Check all the edges of the car for paint lines from masking.

find out why it has a salvage title, flood, accident--> what was the extent of the damage? where was the car hit? who did the work to bring it back to life? etc etc. knowing what happened can help bring piece of mind with a salvage, the last thing you want is a salvage car that was put together all half assed.

think of a hard hit where car wasn't pulled straight with no possibility of bringing the car within tolerances when doing alignment, then burning throug tires.
