Longer...heavier...for older balding men. Don't they know that is what Audi exists for? I truly hope that the length of the car doesn't gain another 6 inches...that would be a foot longer than my GD.

If it looks anything like either of the wagons above, I know what my '11 is getting traded for.

Unless I decide to defect over to Ford this fall. That 2013 Fusion looks amazing and has a 2.0L Ecoboost/AWD option...

You'd get more for the '11 selling it to me. I'm going to have to by a 3g if they move to a longer wheel base, the 3g is about as long as i'd ever want to go with a Subaru. I like the renderings, the orange one looks pretty Dodge Caliber SRT-ish, but not too bad. The other one really looks like it should be the new Legacy wagon. I just don't want a long, super roll-y car in the corners. I thought that the 08 STi left something to be desired in the corners.(on stock suspension)

I think the 3G sedans are already 180" long, so I'm not sure if this will be longer or not.

So the WRX will be similar to what is out now....

I wonder if they are still heading towards a smaller frame for the STI, 2 door like some rumors have stated.

A two door STi would be badass. I just know that if they make it any longer, it will be too long. Might as well get a Legacy instead. It sounds domestic like, the Chevy Impala is on a shorter wheel base with more horsepower than the Monte Carlo, which was the two door "Sports car". The Impala was smaller and quicker, with four doors, and is a "family sedan". That is ass backwards to me.

This happens every single time a new model comes out, you all need to chill the **** out and wait to see what happens.

^true, we won't really know what the deal is until it is in front of us. I just don't like hearing that they want to gear their sales toward old balding men and leather seats. That just means the price will surpass the 40k mark.

I still prefer the old "cheap reliable fun cars" that have been the benchmark for Subarus since they first came on the market. And the price jump has already become a reality with the 3g models my friend. But i'm remaining as cool as a cucumber fyi. I don't plan on buying a new Subaru...evar.:D

The WRX hasn't really gone up that much in price at all. The 02-03 models were starting in the 25k range stickerwise, the new ones are about the same. True, there are more expensive models (Premium, Limited) but even those are priced right around what the comparable GD models were.

Understood. Cars are going to continually get more and more expensive, as is everything else. And as long as the day never comes that i "have to have" leather heated seats in my Subaru, then all is well. It's just crazy to see some of the newer STi's at $38k. But the day will be here soon enough when it is over 40k. I have always thought that the WRX is good value when you compare what you get, to the cost.

I'm just as annoyed by the fact that even a decent Camaro (SS) is over $30k. Right now i can buy a house for nearly that...lol. But as i stated above, i will never buy a new car, i'll just wait until it's used enough that i can afford it.:D

Old balding men who like leather seats buy more cars than balding mid 20s men that say "bro" too much.

Just sayin, if it sells more cars, subaru is going to do it, they could care less if they piss off "Tuners".

Given what little information is available so far, I like it. The WRX is a very good value and the price point has no doubt been kept in check by the fact that is shares a great deal of its parts with the base Impreza. Moving to an extensively reworked platform with unique body, interior, etc. will no doubt make this "niche" car more expensive than before. How to offset that? Sell more of them by making them appeal to a broader audience. If they can do this and still keep enough trim/option flexibility to appeal to the hard-core enthusiasts, I think it's great.

It's all good bro, i don't buy new cars anyways bro, change is good "for someone" bro! And the old bald guys should wear flatbill hats, if they want to hide their baldness bro? :p I'll always be a Subaru 'brand whore' and will continually buy parts for my used cars...so you and i will be buddies fo-eva.

Remember, the first pic above is an artist's impression.

I'm old and bald (not even "ing" anymore), but I hate leather seats and I would rather be bald than wear a phucking flat brim hat.

My LGT will be ten model years old when this comes out...might be my next, what do you punks say..."whip".

At least it wears the fender flares somewhat better than the current Legacy...if the rendering is anywhere close to accurate.

Even the rendering is out the window... no way can you have the wheels that far forward on subaru's AWD platform. there's got to be a mile of nose out there for the engine to sit in.

At least it could fit 20's with that design? I still like the ATC, it looks like a nice wagon. And gullwing-ish+suicide doors.:)
