i read online that dec 12 is the next release date for ps3....anyone lese heard about it? also i heard that stores are getting them little by little as they are getting made....i might go search for one in a bit just for the hell of it due to boredom.

They're trickling in. My co-worker who lives in Burnsville said the Target there got restocked and within minutes, sold them out. Search for one. You may get lucky
In the last game informer they stated the next BIG shipment is in March...when Japan and Europe get there first shipment...YES WE GOT OURS FIRST.
everything you read on the intrawebz and you see on the news is BS, i work at BB and have been an avid member with Sony USA and Playstation, right now until March 22nd(projected) they are only doing drop shipments, meaning they will pick a company and then a location and send them some number of units, for instance, yestarday EP BB got 10 60GB's and 8 20GB's in, no one will know when they are coming and when they do they are supposed to be set out on the shelves.
It's good to know a fellow UPS driver that ships to BB. He's the one who knows the minute they get them because he delivers them and knows which boxes have them in it
I was super lucky. I went to EB games at Block E on Friday to pick up a copy of Zelda for my Wii, and by some random chance, I happened to peak into the back room and see a black, shiny box. I thought...."no way....can't be." But for giggles, I asked if they had any PS3's in stock....and they said YES. I couldn't believe it. They'd come in a few hours before on the truck totally unannounced. They had gotten 4 in, and had one left. So I kinda went into impulse-buy mode and bought it. That's like a 1 in a million chance, so I did it. But I too had heard that March was the next major shipment coming over.
Sony Computer Entertainment of America's Dave Karraker confirms that a new shipment of Playstation 3s has landed and will be available at stores by Black Friday. No word on how many of the Playstation 3s, airlifted to the U.S., was in the shipment, but Karraker says that the company is shipping them on a weekly basis and that they are shooting for 1 million consoles in stores in the U.S. by the end of the year. I guess they are supposed to ship 100,000 nationwide each week.
Yeah, we're putting on 3 holiday shows at work, and I've been doing a lot of overhire work on the side. So I've worked most every day now for the past 3 weeks, and I'll be working every day until December 23. Things have been pretty much insane for the last month and change, and will be that way until the first week in January. The ice race will be a great break. But on a plus note...I've got a Wii and a PS3

20, but I'll be replacing it in the near future with a 100 or 120 gig. And I've setup a wifi ethernet adapter to cover the wifi problem. I got lucky enough to find one, no sense holding out until I could find a 60 gig.
Black Friday is the Friday directly after thanksgiving (the following day) Given this name cause of the crazies who come out for the ridiculous deals.

I picked up 2 - PS3 60GB this morning. Best Buy Riverdale got 15 60GB in and my buddy who works there called me asap. I dragged my mom with and picked up 2 of them. 1 is on ebay, the other I may keep for myself, not sure yet.
