I just want to give everyone the heads up the within the next week or so (pending my work schedule), I will be shutting the site down for a bit to roll out a update for Xenforo. On my test site the upgrade took about 45 minutes or so. Along with the Xenforo update, I have a few add-ons that will also get updated. I am hoping to get everything done in less than a hour. Which brings me to my next question. Is there any interest in doing a chat/shoutbox for the site? The current one that I am playing around with would be a Ajax shoutbox. So no IRC, like the last one, it would just be a simple shoutbox. I am currently working on the small box placement (below thread list or in the sidebar on the forum list), and there would be a full size box that would have a tab in the navbar. There would be no log ins or anything like that, it would just be a real time chat window that uses all of your member info (avatar, user name, etc). Let me know if this is something that everyone would be interested in and I will put forth some extra time to get everything up and running. Russ
I don't really know about the shoutbox thing or not...but thanks for continually doing what you do to keep this site running and improving it when possible Russ!! You da man!!
Ok, just a little update. Since I once again worked myself out of work this week, I will have tomorrow off. Which means, tomorrow I will be doing the website updates. At this time, I don't have a current time set aside, but I would guess start time around 8-8:30 am and hope to have everything finished up in a hours or so. Also, being as the shoutbox looks to be a no go, I will not install it. Russ
Ok, website updates are done and everything looks to be running fine. I do have a few more things that I need to work on through out the day, so there may be some minor slow downs here and there. Like with all updates, if you see anything out of place or any bugs, please let me know and I will look into it asap. Thanks Russ
