Well the STi motor was designed for 98RON fuel and will detonate if run on American fuel without a tune.
Found the original sale thread. 95 WRX wagon. which means 220BHP at 6k, revs out to 7500 ( i confuse the STi's peak horsepower rpm with redline as it's been a long time since i even thought about it.) had 45K kilometers on the clock +10k miles. Sorry about the kilometers error. And no, you don't need a tune or anything other than premium to run it. and the 99 vs. 93 and whether you need a tune for it has been around so long it's basically po- tay- to po- ta- to
